Karen Gables None
Jambo na Karibu! Welcome to Nairobi, or the “place of cool waters” in the Maasai language. After a warm welcome, you’ll be driven to your ideally located hotel.
Day 2
Nairobi, Kenya
Tortilis Camp Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Your safari takes off with a flight to Amboseli National Park. Upon checking into your well-appointed tented camp, meet your expert ranger for an afternoon game drive. Capture panoramic photos of some of Africa's largest elephants as they amble through the grasslands with the snowcapped Mt. Kilimanjaro as the backdrop. Cap off your day with traditional sundowners as you marvel at views of Africa's highest mountain glowing in the twilight.
Day 3
Amboseli National Park, Kenya
Tortilis Camp Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Rise with dawn's early light for your game drive - you may catch up with the big cats, sated after their night hunt. Watch for wildebeest, zebra, impala and warthogs and see how many of the 300 species of birds you can spot. Tonight, unwind and be mesmerized by the dazzling blanket of stars.
Day 4
Amboseli National Park, Kenya
Lewa Safari Camp Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Fly north to Lewa Wildlife Conservancy. Arrive at your camp in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive in search of the unique species found in this region including the Grevy zebra and reticulated giraffe.
Day 5
Lewa Wiildlife Conservancy
Lewa Safari Camp Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Start the day with an early morning game drive in the quiet serene wilderness. Perhaps you'll come upon a cheetah snuggling with her cubs or a herd of gerenuk browsing in the foliage. Before your afternoon game drive, laze poolside and take in the views of wildlife lingering nearby.
Day 6
TBD
Sand River Maasai Mara Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Your adventure continues as you take wing to the Maasai Mara, Kenya's premier game reserve. Your traditional safari camp is located along the Sand River, where over a million wildebeest and zebra make their migration crossing every year. With your camera gear ready, meet your expert rangers and take off on a game drive across the reserve's tree-flecked grasslands. You’ll be amazed by the herds of plains game, elephants and a wide variety of other animals and birds.
Day 7
Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya
Sand River Maasai Mara Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Awaken with the animals to join your morning game drive. Keep a lookout for the black-maned lion, leopards and cheetahs returning from their night hunt. Explore the bends of the traversing river where hippos and crocodiles spread out in their favorite feeding grounds. This afternoon, set out for a second game drive. After dinner, gather around the campfire and share your favorite wildlife photos with your safari companions.
Day 8
Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya
Sand River Masai Mara Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Greet the sunrise with a balloon ride, over the Maasai Mara. Float effortlessly above the open plains, while the wildlife graze contentedly unaware of your presence. In the time-honored tradition, toast your landing and enjoy a full breakfast on the open plains. Your ground crew will become your chefs and the balloon pilot your toastmaster. A perfect finale to an altogether extraordinary morning.
Day 9
Masai Mara National Reserve, Kenya
None Breakfast, Lunch
Soak up your last morning on safari. Fly to Nairobi, enjoy lunch and a place to relax at a reserved hotel day room. This afternoon, visit the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and its pioneering Orphan's Project for a visit with your foster elephant. The organization works in partnership with the Kenya Wildlife Service and offers hope for any orphaned elephant fortunate enough to be found alive. Transfer to the airport for your onward arrangements. You may be leaving Africa behind, but you’ll return home with memories that will last forever.

I could have have even imagined the experience that awaited us. The first night on a game drive we experienced watching lions eating a kill, so close you could smell the animals. All other animal siteings were equally as exciting. The lodging were excellent, service was first class and the people were wonderful. Cannot wait to go again. Post Haste Travel & African Travel did a fantastic job.!!!

Our African Travel experience was fantastic. We didn't know what to expect, but having said that, our African experience was far and away more than we could have dreamed. The game drives and safari hotels were all great. WE couldn't have planned this trip alone, so the African Travel Inc. portion was vital to our having a great time, which we certainly did.

Great trip. Almost seamless transitions from one camp to another. I am a bit baffled that the 5% repeat traveler was not applied to these last two trips to Africa with African Travel.

Everyone we dealt with at Africa Travel were great. They arranged the best guides and made sure our travel through every airport and border was smooth and without issues. Anytime we had a question, they quickly responded through their contact people in every location. Our travel advisor selected Africa Travel for us, but we cannot say enough good things about our accommodations and all of the logistical arrangements.

This was the first time that we have used Africa Adventure Company. Their recommendations for trip itinerary and accommodations were spot-on. The private guides were exceptional - extremely knowledgeable, courteous, accommodating, and professional. They were great ambassadors for their respective countries, and we saw many animals and rare animal behaviors because of their expertise, leadership, and guidance.

African Answers .was very easy to work with and ALWAYS available for questions. My contact at Africa Answers was Rowan and he did a great job; I was taken care of from the minute I stepped off the plane until I left the country. A person was assigned to me in both countries I visited. People who listened, were on time or early for pickups and very knowledgable about every portion of the area I was vacationing in. My last day in country I was not feeling well, so on the fly I asked to drop something that had been planned for me to do and instead just find a place to rest. The guys that Africa Answers was working with took care of everything. Book with these guys.

African Travel was great! Other than a small hiccup with a hotel in Capetown (which they remedied), the trip was awesome. The drivers and tour guides that they hire were all super friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable. The businesses they chose for Shark Diving, Cape of Good Hope, and the Thorny Bush Reserve were excellent places. My wife and I would definitely recommend African Travel to friends and family! Cheers!
