Your private guide will meet you at your Cairns region accommodation in a privately appointed luxury vehicle at approximately 8:30am. The travel day commences onwards up along the coast along the beautiful Coral Sea coastline and the wonderful Daintree National Park.
You will get to experience an indigenous experience with an Aboriginal Guide with extensive knowledge of the region and indigenous culture. You will experience a ‘welcome to our Country’ presentation and have a firsthand experience; in an indigenous smoking ceremony and cleanse – a truly unique indigenous experience. A short walk of Mossman Gorge with your guide is included for a photo opportunity of the famous Mossman Gorge boulders under the rainforest canopy.
You then move onwards for another cultural experience at an art centre, focused purely on indigenous art from the local people of the Kuku Yalanji.
Cross by cable ferry and drive up the Alexandra Range and enter the Daintree section of the World Heritage protected rainforest. This is the oldest continuously growing rainforest on Earth. Morning tea is served as you board the boat for a wonderful Daintree River Cruise. Be on the lookout for the extensive array of wildlife including the mighty crocodile.
Next is an indulgent lunch with a rainforest back drop and experience an incredible wildlife experience to hand feed wallabies rescued after injury and nursed back to health.
In the afternoon you will experience an incredible experience at a tropical fruit farm. Discover the origins, uses, anecdotes and interesting facts about exotic fruits. Delighting your taste buds with the unique and wonderful tastes of fruits of the tropics.
Next your guide will take you in our four wheels drive vehicle to spend some time in a secret location set in the rainforest, we stop at a swimming hole for a beautiful cool swim in a crystal-clear swimming hole. Your guide will take you on a rainforest walk in a secret location not shared with any other tours, to help you appreciate the wonder of the Daintree. Look for Boyd’s Forest Dragons hiding on trees and we may be lucky enough to see the local Cassowary.
The return journey includes a stop at one of the famous tropical ice- cream fruit farms where you will be able to taste some of the tropical flavours on the day. (own expense)
The tour concludes approximately 5:30pm with drop off directly to your Cairns region accommodation.
