The journey of one-of-a-kind landscapes continues at Elephant Trunk Hill, just off the Li River. With the shape of the hill representing a huge elephant drinking from the river, you will quickly understand its very literal name. Multiple caves make up the different body parts from the eyes to the trunk and legs. On the top of the hill, you'll find a pagoda that rests on the elephant's back--the symbol of Guilin.
Surrounded by mountains and along the Li River, you will come across Daxu Old Town. This ancient street was developed by the Ming and Qing dynasties with stone streets that carve their way to historic temples, tempting markets, and old docks that make for some of the most picturesque spots in the area.
