In the backcountry, we're always on the hunt for many different species of fish. In fact, during the winter, it is not uncommon to have one of our fishing charters come back with 20+ species of fish. Backcountry fishing appeals to folks who just want to bend rods on many different species of fish, or on whatever is available--as long as it fights.
Here's a general guide to what we catch and when we catch it:
Winter (November-February): Snappers, jacks, barracudas, ladyfish, trout, mackerel, cobia, sharks, bluefish
Spring (March-June): Tarpon, snappers, barracudas, sharks, jacks, permit
Summer (July-October): Bonefish, tarpon, permit, snappers, barracudas, sharks

- To prevent motion sickness, get a good night's sleep the night before and avoid greasy foods prior to the trip.
- You may bring along some sodas and put them in our cooler. We'll provide bottled water and ice.
- Every day may be a fishing day, but not necessarily a catching day. Catching fish is not guaranteed.
