Description

We'll drive out to Porto Cristo, a gorgeous resort area with an old-world charm that you'll just fall in love with. Not only is the resort charming, but nearby are the Drach Caves. Located on Mallorca’s east coast the caves are without doubt one of the island’s most outstanding tourist attractions. This series of spectacular caverns lead to Europe's largest underground lake. The caves extend for almost 1200 metres and including internal heights of 25 metres above the cave floor. It is a sight to behold - and cool as well in the heat of the summer!

Enjoy a boat ride on the lake while listening to a concert of classical music inside the caves! The exceptional lighting system enhances the natural beauty of the caves, where stalactites and stalagmites form fascinating shapes in the water, giving the impression of mountains growing from the depths.

We'll also incorporate a stop at a local pearl factory to see how pearls are created, cultivated and then treated to become world renowned Mallorca Pearls. Local Mallorca women have specialized in the artistic fabrication of faux pearls since the 19th Century and are worldwide recognized for its quality and perfection. Majorca pearls have such a resemblance to the natural pearls that only experts can tell them apart. Purchasing pearls is up to you... and if you do, enjoy the reasonable factory prices!

In Cozumel we enjoyed the snorkeling that we did off a catamaran. The staff was friendly, very professional, and helpful with my first time snorkeling daughter. Grand Cayman we went to sting ray city with a trip and snorkeling. Staff and trip was amazing, crew very helpful and fun. in Jamaica we did a Dunn's River Falls excursion and private beach. We had fun but were not impressed with the staff, and their timeliness (waited around alot),

MOSTLY EXCEPTIONAL

We did a private whale watching tour which was incredible. The train ride in Sitka which we were not going to do at first was spectacular. Scenery, comfort - a wonderful way to see the area and spend our time. We signed up for a Mendenhall Glacier trip plus Salmon bake. This one was so very commercial and although the glacier and waterfall were above our expectations, a short time was given to walk there and view. This left out two of our party as they could not move as fast as needed to return in the time frame of one hour. Then the BAKE- the food was marginally ok. They were out of the most important SMORES ingredients. It is crazy but that was advertised (we were willing to break our diets ) and we looked forward to them and then disappointed. The people were nice. the area was pretty but that one I would strongly advise friend not to sign up for.
