As your small group travels safari-style through the northern-most part of the Pacific Coastal Temperate Rainforest, you'll begin to appreciate the vastness and solitude of Alaska. The appearance of the rain forest is dependent on the time of year, but, regardless, you will find it lush and colorful as you travel along the maze of trails.
Your tour includes an optional hike down to a spectacular waterfall, where salmon come to spawn from mid-June through September. Wildlife abounds and, particularly in the mid to latter part of the season, you may see moose foraging, eagles soaring, and bears fishing in the river.
No matter what other activities you plan during the rest of your Alaska visit, you'll not find another experience like this. Here, you'll see some of Alaska's best backcountry and wildlife up close.
