Before long, you'll feel comfortable looking around at the wildlife and observing the wonders of Alaska, with looming mountains and rain forest growth that comes right up to the shoreline.
Your guides, who are trained naturalists, will point out active bald eagle nesting sites, as well as river otters, black tail deer, and even bears, that can often be observed in mid to late summer. Additionally, sea lions, orcas, and humpback whales often play a role in your time on the amazingly clear water.
We'll supply dry bags to protect your valuables, rain gear for inclement weather, and binoculars to share with the group.
Prior to your return to Ketchikan, you'll be treated to a snack of smoked salmon and hot drinks.
