On this Zagreb shopping tour, we will share with you the delicious flavours and handmade treasures that are waiting to be discovered in Croatia! There will be plenty of opportunities on this tour to find many interesting souvenirs and gifts to take home. Best of all, any purchases you make will help to support local Croatian farmers and artisans.

After meeting you, we’ll take a walk around one of Zagreb’s most popular shopping areas. Our first stop will be at a quaint local bakery which seems hidden amongst the hustle and bustle of the city. You’ll taste a very popular local pastry as we chat with the owners, and perhaps the customers, too, about everyday life in the city.

Zagreb has been a multicultural city since its inception; its geography has guaranteed a heady mix of influences on its food culture. Your guide will take you to the best place to find Croatia’s finest truffles (coveted by Michelin-starred chefs around the world), to sample the most famous Croatian cheese from the island of Pag (which just received another gold medal at the International Cheese Awards) and to buy the best olive oil in the world (according to the Flos Olei Olive Oil Guide in 2016 and 2017).

You’ll learn a few facts about olive oil production, why the Croatian region of Istria is now the best olive oil region in the world and some of the techniques for hunting down delicious truffles. All the products during our taster session are of the best quality and are produced or foraged for locally.

Your Made in Croatia tour continues at a tiny jewellery workshop where skilled workers will make you a Zagreb souvenir with your name on it while you wait! This charming place is definitely a hidden gem in Zagreb.

To finish, we want to take you to our favourite coffee shop for a ‘colourful’ coffee! The talented baristas at this little joint like to put their own creative stamp on each cup of coffee here with unique and colourful designs.

After an afternoon of handpicked shopping experiences, we hope that you have found some very special souvenirs to take home with you alongside some extraordinary memories of your time in Zagreb.

Before you go, don’t forget to ask your local guide for tips on what else there is to see and do during your stay in the city.
