This morning your private guide will take you to discover one of the gems of the area: St Paul de Vence.
A charming hilltop fortified village filled with art galleries, boutiques and sidewalk cafes. It's hard to find something unappealing about this quaint village. A walk through its winding streets reveals elegant fountains, vine-covered stone walls and statues tucked into nooks in the walls. There are breathtaking views of mountains and sea.
For Lunch, we recommend you enjoy a table on the terrace at either at La Colombe d’Or or Alain Llorca’s Restaurant.
La Colombe d’Or is located at the threshold of the village. The food is traditional at this lovely restaurant. The restaurant seats approximately seventy people in the main dining hall and another hundred on the garden terrace. Once a gathering place of many artists, the walls were soon covered by paintings which were often were in exchange for a stay or a few meals. The art collection has grown years after years until today; the latest work installed is a large ceramic by the Irish artist Sean Scully for the swimming pool area. The Roux family continues to take care of the Colombe d’Or.
Alain Llorca at the foot of St Paul de Vence. In a unique setting, Alain Llorca welcomes you and presents his Contemporary Mediterranean cuisine with all his passion, his long experience and his know-how. Alain Llorca will show you delightful meals, with a menu inspired by the seasons.
