You begin your guided bike ride in the village of Isle sur la Sorgue, surrounded by the clear, emerald waters of the Sorgue River. Our back country roads will lead us through fruit orchards and farmhouses, passing sleepy villages on our way to the very source of the river: the mysterious spring of Fontaine de Vaucluse. We can enjoy a leisurely picnic lunch before looping back to Isle sur la Sorgue, where we'll have time to explore the picturesque village streets lined by quaint cafés and waterwheels.
We pick you up at your hotel at 9am in Avignon (or surrounding area) and transfer you to the village of Isle sur la Sorgue (30min). Your guided cycling day begins in the charming & quaint city of Isle sur la Sorgue. There's a lovely & famous Sunday market that covers the entire center of the village.
Here you will be fitted with a high-quality hybrid bicycle, a helmet, and a saddle bag. The riding is mostly flat around the countryside of Isle sur la Sorgue, through a countryside of fruit orchards and small country lanes. There is a 1km hill before reaching the village of Fontaine de Vaucluse, where we'll pause at length for lunch. You can choose to eat in one of the many restaurants in town or get a picnic to eat by the banks of the Sorgue River (not included).
Back to Isle sur la Sorgue by bike, finishing our loop, and transfer back to Avignon around 5pm.
The total ride is 30km, mostly flat with one hill of 1km along the way (it's possible to dismount and walk along this section if necessary) The ride is suitable for beginner riders. There's the possibility of using E-bikes to make the riding easier (with a small supplement)

Comfortable gym clothes are sufficient or you can choose to wear bicycle-specific clothing (bib-shorts and a cycling jersey)
Wind/Rain jacket in case of wind or bad weather that can be store in your backpack (recommended)
