Notre Dame de Lorette— the largest French military cemetery in France. A stunning and yet humbling site which gives a good outlook on how the French remember their fallen. The Ring of Remembrance was recently inaugurated 11th of November 2014. It carries the names of over half a million men who had lost their lives in of the Nord Pas de Calais.

La Maison Blanche German Cemetery - Largest German Military Cemetery in France. An indication of the intensity of the battles and the losses sustained just north of Arras.
Cabaret Rouge Cemetery - 2nd largest CWGC cemetery in France and the chosen site for the removal of the Unknown Canadian Soldier who was returned to Ottawa War Memorial.
Dud Corner Cemetery, Loos memorial & Hill 70 - From this site we will have an excellent view upon Loos en Gohelle which sits at the foot of Hill 70. The attacks of September 1915 by the British until the capture of the Hill in August 1917 by the Canadian troops led to a very high cost in human lives. The battles of August 1917 are considered successful as it was a major blow to the German army. Losing their footing on the high ground, especially after losing the Vimy Ridge, the allies gained a hold with a massive observation advantage.
