Tour and Vouvray wine tasting. Visit of a wine cellar, for a tasting of Vouvray wines. Created in 1875, this Domain has been expanding for the last five generations and now owns 26 hectares of organic vineyards in different parts of the Vouvray appellation. Made from Chenin Blanc grape, Vouvray wines benefit from an exceptional terroir (clay and limestone). It is a mineral wine with a high acidity level which gives to the wine a great aging capacity. The tour of the cave is done while wine tasting.
Tour at a local domain. The vines of Minière are ideally spread out over the entire terroir covered by the appellation, from the gravel shores along the Loire River to the clay, limestone and silica (mineral) soils of the hills overlooking the valley. This diversity of soils enables them to produce tasty, delicate, fruity wines to be consumed young, as well as more full-bodied, age-worthy wines with tannins that become silky over time.
The feminine tradition is upheld today by Kathleen Van den Berghe who has assumed responsibility for the domain, which now spreads over eighteen hectares in four of the seven districts bearing the Appellation: Bourgueil, Ingrandes de Touraine, Restigné and Benais.
The red and rosé wines produced on the domain are presented under the appellation Bourgueil AOC. They stem 100% from the Cabernet Franc grape, introduced by the monks of the Abbey in the XIth century. The wine-making and bottling is done on the grounds of the château by the owners, assisted by Eric Goujat, wine maker.
Lunch (Optional tour and wine tasting lunch at a local domain is also available. Please let us know if that is your preference and we can add it to the proposal)

Tour and wine tasting at a local domain. Jérôme or his wife welcomes us for a visit of its vineyard and a wine tasting in their cellar. The appellation Chinon produces red wine from the grape variety Cabernet Franc and white wines from the grape variety Chenin Blanc. Jerôme’s vineyard, displayed like an amphitheater, can be discovered with one glance, and gives us the chance to visualize all the terroirs at the same time. According to the age of the vine, the soil, the sun, and wind exposition in that magnificent amphitheater, the different techniques in the wine making itself, Jerome will elaborate a great variety of wines from the same grape variety, producing thirst quenchers or rich and complex red wines.
Wineries are submitted to change according to the availability.
