Explore Table Mountain from the back of a 4x4 Safari vehicle and enjoy a picnic lunch and wine tasting with amazing views of the city and surrounds.
Gain access to the old jeep tracks on Table Mountain and Devils Peak and soak in the views of the city. You’ll be accessing parts of the mountain that no one else can get to by vehicle except the park rangers themselves.
What to expect:
Your guide will collect you at the parking lot of the South African National Parks offices (on the same road as the Cable Car station). You’ll board your 4x4 safari vehicle and begin your adventure.
Your guide will drive you all the way along Table Mountain Road where you will eventually get to a locked chain across the road. Your guide will have the key and will open up and drive you through to an old, disused jeep track.
Once through your guide will drive you to the King’s Block House, the ruins of an old fortification on Devil’s Peak, dating back to when the Dutch were in control of the Cape. Here you can inspect the ruins while your guide sets up your picnic lunch and wine tasting.
Your picnic style lunch will consist of delicious cheeses, charcuterie and a variety of spreads. Your wine tasting will consist of 6 local wines for your enjoyment. When you’ve had your fill of eating and drinking and soaking up the views, you will make your way back along the jeep track and onto Table Mountain Road and back the start of your adventure.
