Description

Discover the rich fauna and flora of the Cape Peninsula with a knowledgeable local and snorkel with Cape Fur seals off the coast of Hout Bay on this unique, adventurous full day tour.

Experience the magnificent views and lush vegetation of the wilder parts of Cape Town on this full day tour of the peninsula. Snorkel with Cape Fur Seals off the back of a rubber duck near Hout Bay, visit the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and observe the comical African Penguin in it’s natural habitat at Boulders Beach.

What to expect:

Your private, specialist guide will collect you from your hotel after breakfast and you’ll make your way to Hout Bay harbour. Here you’ll get kitted out in a wetsuit and get a safety briefing before making your way out to Duiker Island by rubber duck. You’ll spend an hour observing and interecting with these curious creatures before heading back to dry off and continue your day.

Once you’ve dried off you’ll take a drive along the breathtaking Chapmans Peak Drive on the way to the Cape of Good Hope National Park. Capture an iconic photo at what seems like the edge of the world. You can choose to walk up the steep path to the iconic lighthouse or take the Flying Dutchman funicular (optional). You’ll experience a 360-degree panorama of the ocean, both peninsula coastlines, dramatic cliffs and the clean white sweep of Dias Beach far below. Mark that off your Cape Town bucket list.

Make your way to the famous penguin colony on Boulders Beach to watch the the African penguins as they frolic in the waves. Take a walk along the wooden walkway over the pristine beach as you get up close and personal with these endangered birds.

After making some new tuxedoed friends, take a stroll through nearby Simon’s Town, home of the South African Navy. Discover the rich history of this seaside village and its maritime strategy that played an inseparable role in the history of the Cape of Good Hope and South Africa as a whole.

Next, enjoy a casual lunch in the quaint seaside village of Kalk Bay, walking to the end of the harbour wall and stopping at the many art galleries and boutique stores.

GREAT GUIDE

Our guide, Ryan Straus, was professional and knowledgeable. He assessed our personalities and our specific interests and adjusted our daily schedule to match. In addition, he was able to encourage us to see and do some things that we didn't even know we wanted to do! A very personal guided tour with a fun and warm young man. He is an asset to Triumph Travel.

Our experience with Triumph travel was out of this world. The whole trip was a trip of a lifetime. We only had on small hiccup, and it was handled very quickly and efficiently. When we landed in Capetown, we realized that no one was there to pick us up and drive us to the Winelands. We called the travel company, and sixth star travel, and within 10 minutes there was a luxury car there to take us to the Windlands. The tour company did not have our updated flight itinerary , as the original itinerary had us coming in 3 hours later. They really stepped us and took care of the situation.

Our day in the South African wine country with Triumph Travel was great. Our driver, Leonard, was very knowledgeable of the various wineries and the whole wine country. We enjoyed very much talking with him about his personal life and growing up in the Cape Town area. He treated us at the end of the tour with a surprise stop at the prison that Nelson Mandela was finally released from. It turned out to a real highlight of the day.

Our tours in the Cape were outstanding. All personnel were polite, informative, flexible, and provided exceptional service. We thoroughly enjoyed the tours and found new perspectives on areas we have previously visited. We couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience.
