SUP, HIKE, WILDLIFE
Explore one of the most unique coastlines and marine habitats in the world, as you make the most of the ocean, get up close to the african penguins, hike in beautiful surroundings and enjoy scenic stops along the way.
The main aim of the day is to spend as much time out of the vehicle as possible!
Our guides are top adventurers in their own right, and focused on creating a day that is purely for your enjoyment. Your Private Cape Adventure unfolds at your own pace – if you feel uneasy about anything, please talk to your guide.
The weather is our compass and your enthusiasm our wrist watch
We plan each adventure according to your interests. Our Cape weather can change at a moment’s notice, and this is where we use our knowledge of hidden spots and local conditions to make the most of each day, no matter what is thrown at us.
Likewise, should we find ourselves having so much fun that we do not want to drag ourselves away, the day’s plans can be changed at the drop of a hat! No two tours are the same.
During activities we supply energy snacks and refreshments.
Between activities more substantial treats from our gourmet pantry are on offer.
Chilled wine, beer, ice teas, chilled waters and G&T’s are also on board.
What to expect
Start your day in the surf mecca of Cape Town: Muizenberg. Marvel at the colourful bathing boxes that dot the beach, while you enjoy a hot beverage to give you a boost for all the excitement of the day ahead.
From Muizenberg, we will continue to Kalk Bay where we will explore the working fishing harbour, watching the playful seals, meeting the local fishermen and vendors, as well as perhaps having a quick browse along the main road of the quirky Kalk Bay shops and art galleries.
From here we wind our way through to the naval town of Simon’s Town, stopping off to visit the rogue African Penguins in the vicinity of Boulders Beach. If you're brave enough, we can enjoy a spot of Stand-Up Paddling or Kayaking to get a unique perspective of the penguins in their natural environment.
After a lunch stop in the quiet seaside town of Scarborough, we will spend what remains of the afternoon exploring the peninsula reserve. We will spend a short time hiking the deserted beaches and exploring the shipwrecks while keeping an eye out for the Cape 5 (Ostrich, Baboons, Mountain Zebra, Bontebok, and Tortoise).
Enjoy a stop at the local Farm village of Noordhoek, to indulge in one of the best artisanal ice creams on the Peninsula, from Kirsten's Kick Ass Ice Cream! Before heading back to town along the famous Chapman's Peak drive where your guide will find an ideal spot for a sundowner stop along the way.
