This area is often overlooked as people make a beeline for the wine farms around Stellenbosch and beyond. Constantia is one of the oldest wine producing regions in the Southern Hemisphere with an uninterrupted history of winemaking since 1685.

Constantia valley is situated in a mountainous setting on the slopes of Table Mountain and although close to the city, you feel a world away.

Sleep Easy…

Our guides are top adventurers in their own right, and focused on creating a day that is purely for your enjoyment. Your Private Cape Adventure unfolds at your own pace – if you feel uneasy about anything, please talk to your guide.

The weather is our compass and your enthusiasm our wrist watch

We plan each adventure according to your interests. Our Cape weather can change at a moment’s notice, and this is where we use our knowledge of hidden spots and local conditions to make the most of each day, no matter what is thrown at us.

Likewise, should we find ourselves having so much fun that we do not want to drag ourselves away, the day’s plans can be changed at the drop of a hat! No two tours are the same.

What is provided?

During activities we supply energy snacks and refreshments.

Between activities more substantial treats from our gourmet pantry are on offer.

Chilled wine, beer, ice teas, chilled waters and G&T’s are also on board.

What to expect

Situated in a rural and mountainous setting on the slopes of Table Mountain, although close to the city, you feel a world away.

The farms vary greatly and no farm is more than 5 or 10 minutes from the next with many linked by cycle and hiking tracks. This maximises time out exploring, so if a lot of your holiday has been in a 4x4 safari vehicle or sightseeing around Cape Town, this allows for a day mostly spent on the farms and not in a vehicle.

To get a perspective on the valley this adventure starts at Eagles Nest, located high on the slopes of Table Mountain. We will break into the valley, by stretching our legs and enjoying some gentle hiking amongst the vineyards on the slopes of Constantia valley.

For a sense of history we’ll pay a visit to Constantia Glen before heading to Steenberg wine estate, to take part in a privately guided Terroir Walk on the which will give you a better understanding of the land and the wine making process which the farm adopts in an environmentally considerate farming practice as far as possible.

We will then head up over the Mountain to the Silvermine Nature Reserve. A real gem mostly frequented by locals getting away from the city's hustle and bustle. Enjoy the tranquil setting, take a refreshing dip in the dam and time allowing, go for a hike on one of the many trails in this reserve. We will have packed a delicious gourmet picnic for your lunch which you can enjoy here.

After your leisurely lunch stop, we will head to Noordhoek, a quaint village overlooking an expansive white sandy beach. Enjoy a wine tasting at the Cape Point Vineyards with commanding views of the region.

You will then head over Chapman’s Peak Drive with its 114 curves skirting the rocky coastline linking Noordhoek with Hout Bay, this 9km route is the most famous coastal road in South Africa and is renowned as being one of the most spectacular routes in the world.

We will visit Llandudno Beach, the most beautiful beach in Cape Town for sundowners before heading back to base.

Our guide, Ryan Straus, was professional and knowledgeable. He assessed our personalities and our specific interests and adjusted our daily schedule to match. In addition, he was able to encourage us to see and do some things that we didn't even know we wanted to do! A very personal guided tour with a fun and warm young man. He is an asset to Triumph Travel.

Our experience with Triumph travel was out of this world. The whole trip was a trip of a lifetime. We only had on small hiccup, and it was handled very quickly and efficiently. When we landed in Capetown, we realized that no one was there to pick us up and drive us to the Winelands. We called the travel company, and sixth star travel, and within 10 minutes there was a luxury car there to take us to the Windlands. The tour company did not have our updated flight itinerary , as the original itinerary had us coming in 3 hours later. They really stepped us and took care of the situation.

Our day in the South African wine country with Triumph Travel was great. Our driver, Leonard, was very knowledgeable of the various wineries and the whole wine country. We enjoyed very much talking with him about his personal life and growing up in the Cape Town area. He treated us at the end of the tour with a surprise stop at the prison that Nelson Mandela was finally released from. It turned out to a real highlight of the day.

Our tours in the Cape were outstanding. All personnel were polite, informative, flexible, and provided exceptional service. We thoroughly enjoyed the tours and found new perspectives on areas we have previously visited. We couldn't have asked for a more pleasant experience.

I have nothing but positive things to say about working with Triumph Travel. All drivers and guides were very professional but personable as well as knowledgeable and flexible to our requests. We felt we were in skilled hands at all times. The vehicles as well were high end and very comfortable. It was such a pleasure to sit back and enjoy the various tours we had requested. All we had to do was show up!
