Today we’ll be able to visit a ham factory.
You will be privately transferred to a ham factory where the owner will welcome you and do the visit to the facilities, explaining about Guijuelo ham and iberic ham in general.
At the end of the visit, you will go to the ancient ham cellar of the family located in Guijuelo. There, you will be able to enjoy a guided tasting of iberic products such as: ham, loin, chorizo, sausage… paired with wines of the region or water and bread (it may replace lunch).
After this experience you’ll also be able to identify spices and condiments, how to choose a good ham and essential knowledge for cutting and preserving a ham.
In the end we will take advantage of the opportunity to visit the beautiful mountain village of Candelario where there’s a museum of the tradition of home-made cold meat.
