Morning Private Guided Tour of Point Lobos State Reserve OR Shared 3-Hour Whale Watching / Afternoon on Own
This morning drive 30 minutes to meet your guide at Point Lobos State Park.
Called the "greatest meeting of land and sea in the world" by landscape artist Francis McComas, Point Lobos is considered the Crown Jewel in the California State Park system. The hiking trails offer fabulous views over headlands, across Carmel Bay to Carmel-by-the-Sea and Pebble Beach, the home of the famous 17 Mile Drive.
The reserve is a natural area of dramatic granite cliffs, unusual rock formations, caves and beaches. It is geologically unique and contains a rich and diverse plant and animal life both on shore and in the water. Your guide will have a telescope on-hand to help you spot sea otters, seals and sea lions.
OR, you may be interested in a 3-hour shared whale watching excursion in Moss Landing. Meet your captain at Moss Landing on Monterey Bay for your 3-hour shared marine wildlife cruise.
Monterey Bay is a National Marine Sanctuary, and you will have a chance to view seals, sea lions, a variety of whale species and seabirds abound.
Afterwords, we recommend taking the afternoon to enjoy the quaint town of Carmel-By-The-Sea where shopping, art boutiques, and delicious restaurants can be found.
