Take off and fly over the patchwork pasture of the Canterbury Plains. You will get closer to the remarkable Southern Alps which dominate the skyline of the South Island. Your first stop for the day is at the one of the braided rivers Canterbury is blessed with. Enjoy a spectacular blast through the gorges onboard a custom built jet boat. After this you will continue by helicopter to land at a private sheep farm or high country station as they are known. Enjoy learning a little about life on one of these remote New Zealand rural properties and find out the important role agriculture plays as part of New Zealand’s economy. Enjoy lunch at the property as well as time exploring the farm with your magnificent hosts. This afternoon you will be taken for a spectacular scenic helicopter flight through the mountains, including an alpine landing, before returning to Christchurch
