Crom Castle is a 19th century fairytale castle built circa 1840 and designed by the famous architect Blore who was responsible for parts of Buckingham Palace. It sits in 1900 acres of beautiful National Trust property which is one of the most important nature conservation areas in The British Isles. This protected parkland is in an extremely romantic setting overlooking Lough Erne.
Steeped in history and being host to aristocrats, diplomats, dignitaries and members of the Royal Family, Crom Castle is a beautiful and welcoming grand building with its towers and battlements making their mark on this historic stone fortress.
It has been the family home of The Earls of Erne for centuries and the current Earl now wants people to come and enjoy the hospitality of his home with him and the chance to live with Northern Irish aristocracy.
You are invited to stay for a few days as if Lord Erne was having his own house party. You are his guests with a chance to spend quality time with him and enjoy warm and comfortable hospitality.
You will be warmly welcomed by Lord Erne in time for Afternoon Tea served in the Grand Drawing Room by Lord Erne’s personal staff whilst your luggage is brought up to one of the many comfortable and warmly decorated bedrooms and unpacked for you. The bedrooms range from large state bedrooms to generous doubles to twins, all with ensuite bathrooms.
After you have settled in relaxed and freshened up, cocktails will be served in The Grand Drawing Room before a delicious five course dinner prepared by the castle’s chef in The Oak Panelled Dining Room hosted as usual by Lord Erne.
Every evening after dinner, you can relax with your host over good conversation.
