Arrive in Phoenix, Arizona and secure your rental car (arranged independently). Drive 3.5 hours north to the most iconic landmark in the American West, the Grand Canyon.

Enjoy the rest of the day exploring Grand Canyon National Park. We recommend taking an afternoon walk on the Rim Trail. This flat trail follows the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, offering spectacular views and photography opportunities from the top of the Canyon. You can begin hiking from any viewpoint in the Grand Canyon Village or along Hermit Road. The Shuttle Bus makes many stops along the trail. The Rim Trail covers 13 miles from the South Kaibab Trailhead to Hermit's Rest, most of the trail is paved. Hike as much as you like and then catch the shuttle bus back to your starting point.

Enjoy

lunch at the historic El Tovar, located right on the edge of the South Rim. Bid farewell to your guide in the late afternoon. Enjoy the evening at leisure

Day 3

Shared Helicopter Flightseeing Tour over the Canyon / Scenic Drive to Sedona

After checking-out of your hotel this morning, drive a short distance to the Grand Canyon Airport for a shared 45-minute helicopter flightseeing tour over the Canyon (maximum 7-passengers), fully headset-narrated by your pilot-guide. This is a dramatic and stunning way to see the Canyon.

After your helicopter flight, bid farewell to the Grand Canyon and continue 2 hours south to Sedona. As you enter Flagstaff en route, history buffs will delight in the Route 66 nostalgia, museums and attractions dedicated to Native American culture and old west legacy. The Museum of Northern Arizona, Walnut Canyon National Monument, historic downtown Flagstaff along Route 66, and the 1950s vintage Galaxy Diner are all worth visiting. We recommend stopping in Oak Creek Canyon at Indian Gardens Cafe, a local favorite, for coffee or lunch.

The sandstone buttes that frame Sedona create a stunning red rock backdrop, and contain hundreds of miles of hiking and biking trails. The afternoon is yours to explore the historic uptown area, lined with art galleries, souvenir shops and restaurants. We recommend cooling off with some homemade ice cream from the Black Cow Cafe, a local favorite.

Overnight in the best available accommodations. Lodging based on double occupancy.

Hang on as your Jeep navigates the rocky trail, climbing to the top of a red rock lookout point and then descending the Road of No Return. Take a break from the adrenaline rush for a picnic lunch in a beautiful setting, where your guide will teach you about the flora, fauna, geology and history of Sedona.

Excellent service

Upon arriving in Klamath Falls, our daughter became pretty ill and was not able to whitewater raft on the first day of our vacation. I called the customer service number and explained the situation and asked if it would be possible to change to another day. The young woman I spoke with was SO kind and helpful. She took all the information, called the tour company and called me back in a very short period of time. She was able to schedule the tour for later in the week and by that day, we were ALL able to go on the whitewater rafting excursion. Crater Lake National park was spectacular and I would highly recommend this service and location!

Fabulous Yellowstone?Grand Tetons trip

Mindy organized a wonderful vacation for our family. We enjoyed spending two full days with an absolutely outstanding tour guide at Yellowstone followed by two more half days with the same guide at the Grand Tetons. He gave us an appreciation for the spectacular surroundings and led us to see over 25 species of wildlife. We also had a wonderful time attending a rodeo and biking. Mindy even was able to add a white water rafting trip down the Snake River at the last minute. We are so looking forward to planning our next trip at other national parks with this very knowledgeable and committed organization. Thank you so much!

Grand Canyon, Bryce, and Zion National Parks

The trip exceeded my expectations. The private tours of the parks were interesting and the tour guides were very kid-friendly. We had a free morning in Page, Arizona and added a trip to Lower Antelope Canyon. This is a "must see" and was the favorite part of our trip for my three children. This slot canyon is 9 miles from Page and is the most visited slot canyon in America. We used Ken's tours and were accommodated within an hour without reservations. One day tours are adequate for the South rim of the Grand Canyon and Bryce. However, my family could have spent several days in Zion. The beauty of all three parks cannot be captured on film. The daily hikes were beautiful and totaled 15 miles spread out over 4 days.

It was a delightful experience! We especially enjoyed our guide, Slim Woodruff. She not only enabled us to experience the Canyon but also shared well the history of the Kolb brothers and others in the development of “tourism” so that others could visit and explore the Canyon. When questioned, Slim was knowledgeable of all the support services available to those who live in the park and to those who visit. Our helicopter ride was exciting and definitely memorable also!
