Wildlife abounds, sightings of moose, mountain goats, and grizzly bears are common, and the lucky traveler may even catch a glimpse of a mountain lion or gray wolf.

After meeting your guide, continue over the world famous Going-to-the-Sun Road. Stop at viewpoints to photograph cascading waterfalls, retreating glaciers, and the spectrum of wildflowers blanketing the forest floor. You will have lunch at a beautiful overlook, lake or creek. Free Day to Drive the Going-to-the-Sun Road / Afternoon Scenic Boat Cruise on Two Medicine Lake

Rise early this morning for the drive over the Going-to-the-Sun-Road. The drive is only 50 miles, however we advise allowing at least three hours for stops along the way. Bring along a picnic lunch to enjoy in a scenic spot, perhaps with a view of one of the park's remaining glaciers.

Upon arrival on the east side of the park, climb aboard the Sinopah, the oldest wooden boat in the Glacier National Park fleet. Sail beneath Sinopah and Rising Wolf Mountains, both chisled into striking peaks by ancient glaciers. Relax and take in the scenery while learning about the rich Blackfeet tribal history surrounding the Two Medicine area. Upon docking on the upper west shore of the lake, you can choose to remain on the boat, or disembark for a hike to Twin Falls and catch a later boat back to the dock.

Return to Whitefish in the evening.

Morning Private Flathead Lake Boat Tour / Free Afternoon

This morning drive 25-minutes to Lakeside, a small town on the western shore of Flathead Lake. Flathead is the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi River in the contiguous United States, 27 miles long and 15 miles wide. Meet your Captain and set off on your private touring boat for a full day on the crystal clear water. You will be back to shore in early afternoon.

This afternoon is yours to relax and enjoy the lodge, or explore more of the area independently. Whitefish is a year-round destination with plentiful attractions and a mixed array of shops, coffee houses, and restaurants. Visitors can enjoy hiking, biking, boating and live professional theater, as well as stellar dining. Loula's Cafe is a hidden gem. Try the local Flathead Cherry or Huckleberry fruit pies for a real Montana treat. This evening, we recommend catching the Rocky Mountain sunset at the historic train depot before heading to the Bulldog Saloon for kick-up-your-heels nightlife.

After your ride, enjoy a picnic lunch before your whitewater rafting adventure. The three-hour rafting trip is on the Middle Fork of the Flathead River, which runs along the southwestern boundary of Glacier National Park. This stretch of river features class II and III rapids, which makes it the perfect raft trip for all ages.

The Middle Fork and the North Fork are known for cutthroat and rainbow trout. Your excursion will be tailored to match your skill level. Novice fishermen will gain a strong foundation of fly fishing skills, including casting, line handling, reading water and fisherman's entomology. Experts will benefit from the guide's extensive knowledge of local water conditions, timing, and hatches. Between casts, take in the magnificent views and blue Montana skies.

Excellent service

Upon arriving in Klamath Falls, our daughter became pretty ill and was not able to whitewater raft on the first day of our vacation. I called the customer service number and explained the situation and asked if it would be possible to change to another day. The young woman I spoke with was SO kind and helpful. She took all the information, called the tour company and called me back in a very short period of time. She was able to schedule the tour for later in the week and by that day, we were ALL able to go on the whitewater rafting excursion. Crater Lake National park was spectacular and I would highly recommend this service and location!

Mindy organized a wonderful vacation for our family. We enjoyed spending two full days with an absolutely outstanding tour guide at Yellowstone followed by two more half days with the same guide at the Grand Tetons. He gave us an appreciation for the spectacular surroundings and led us to see over 25 species of wildlife. We also had a wonderful time attending a rodeo and biking. Mindy even was able to add a white water rafting trip down the Snake River at the last minute. We are so looking forward to planning our next trip at other national parks with this very knowledgeable and committed organization. Thank you so much!

Grand Canyon, Bryce, and Zion National Parks

By: Jim

The trip exceeded my expectations. The private tours of the parks were interesting and the tour guides were very kid-friendly. We had a free morning in Page, Arizona and added a trip to Lower Antelope Canyon. This is a "must see" and was the favorite part of our trip for my three children. This slot canyon is 9 miles from Page and is the most visited slot canyon in America. We used Ken's tours and were accommodated within an hour without reservations. One day tours are adequate for the South rim of the Grand Canyon and Bryce. However, my family could have spent several days in Zion. The beauty of all three parks cannot be captured on film. The daily hikes were beautiful and totaled 15 miles spread out over 4 days.

It was a delightful experience! We especially enjoyed our guide, Slim Woodruff. She not only enabled us to experience the Canyon but also shared well the history of the Kolb brothers and others in the development of “tourism” so that others could visit and explore the Canyon. When questioned, Slim was knowledgeable of all the support services available to those who live in the park and to those who visit. Our helicopter ride was exciting and definitely memorable also!
