FlorenceTown did an excellent job!

Our travel agent used Florencetown to arrange a city tour, museum tours, and a day trip to Vinci. In every case the personnel were quite professional, spoke very good English, and the guides were quite knowledgeable of both art and history. Kudos especially to Mario, who arranged the individual excursions, who was always available even after normal business hours, and who even brought us a sack of fresh cherries which he had picked the day before. Florence town had several other excursions and experiences which I might try on our next trip to Florence, and I'm sure that they could arrange customized experiences if we asked.

When using a tour service, the experience always boils down to the individual tour guide. We were lucky enough to have Vanessa as our Florence tour guide for 2 days. She was energetic and passionate about her hometown. We were a group of 11 (including 4 teenagers) and she kept all of us engaged for the entire time she was with us! Because we were on a private tour, we were able to have Vanessa show us sights not on the normal tour circuit...best gelato in Florence, local markets and local food tasting, best places to but leather, etc. Of course, we also visited the must sees (Accademia, Uffizi, Duomo, etc) and loved all that we learned. Thank you Venessa for showing us your city!!

She was so cute and knowledgeable of the city. You could tell she really loves her job. She was very personable also. She spoke many languages and English without a accent. At the end we wanted to bring her home with us. She has never been to America.
