Day 1
Kandy, Sri Lanka

Upon arrival at the airport you will enjoy the VIP arrival service at the Colombo International Airport.

You will be privately escorted off the air plane to the silk route lounge where you can relax, enjoy the refreshments while your luggage will be cleared through customs on your behalf. Free Wi Fi will be available and you will meet your chauffeur / national guide at the lounge. VIP exit to your vehicle through a separate door.

Get on board the Cinnamon Air flight to travel to Kandy.

In the evening explore the Temple of the tooth.

Visit the Temple of the Tooth which is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of the Buddha. Since ancient times, the relic has played an important role in local politics because it is believed that whoever holds the relic holds the governance of the country.

Day 2

In the morning visit Galagedara ancestral home for a garden tour and lunch, followed by a guided walk in the Royal Boatanical Garden of Peradeniya with a botany host.

Galagedara ancestral home garden tour and lunch - Meet Emil & Arlene from the Halgolla Plantation Home who will host you for an amazing garden tour and a home cooked lunch. Set in a plantation of 45 acres, trail through tropical wilderness and return back for lunch in this ancestral home of the family that has lived here for over three centuries. During the garden tour you will experience many different spices of the island along with many fruit trees as well. Emil is a respected award winning columnist who has returned to his ancestral home after 30 years in Canada. Experience a marvelous setting, fabulous hospitality and exceptional food

Proceed to the Royal Botanical Garden of Peradeniya for a relaxing walk down its path with an interesting hosted journey by Bandara Palipanne who is one of the foremost botanists in the field. It’s a very interesting journey listening to the history of the garden which dates back to 1843. During World War 2, the garden was used by Lord Louis Mountbatten the supreme commander of the allied forces in the South Asia, as the headquarters of the South East Asia Command. Visit the Orchid house as well.

Day 3
Matale, Sri Lanka

After breakfast take the Cinnamon air flight to Mattala. Relax the rest of the day by the beach.

Day 4

Visit the Yala national park.

Take a jeep ride in the Yala national park in search of the elusive Leopards, Sloth Bears, Wild Elephants, Wild Boar, Sambur Deer, Spotted Deer, Water Buffaloe and many bird species. The park is one of the best places in the world to see leopards. Early morning and late in the afternoon are the best times to settle in for some leopard and bear sightings.

Day 5
Matale, Sri Lanka

Visit to Mulkirigala temple which has a history of more than 2000 years. There’re 7 painted caves which is almost identical to the Dambulla cave temple in the cultural triangle. Climb up to the caves and be amazed by the beautiful frescoe paintings and the Lord Buddha statues located deep inside. This is one of the forgotten gems that we like to take you to explore since you will have the entire location to yourself, away from the hustle and bustle of the other tourist destinations

Day 6
Galle, Sri Lanka

After breakfast drive to Galle and in the evening explore the Dutch built Fort.

Meet up with an expert resident in the UNESCO Galle Fort who will take you around this magical enclosed living heritage city showing you the hidden gems and explaining about the lifestyles of the people. This will be a real hands on experience where you will get a real idea about how the Portuguese, Dutch and the British have left their mark on Sri Lanka and how their descendants are living inside the Dutch Fort.

Day 7

In the morning visit a Virgin White Tea Plantation.

Visit the Virgin White Tea Plantation which is one of the closest tea plantations you will find in the world which is closer to the ocean. 4000 years ago the Chinese emperor employed virgins wearing soft silky gloves to cut the tea leaves with gold scissors into a golden bowl. It was a drink exclusively served in the Imperial court. Virgin White Tea is the rarest type of white tea, completely untouched by humans from the tea bush to production and until it reaches the lips of the consumer. You will visit this tea factory who’s entire production is bought by Mariage Freres International – Paris. The only other place in the world that this brand is available for purchase will be at the factory that you are visiting.

Day 8
Galle, Sri Lanka

Departure to the airport to connect with your flight where you will receive VIP assistance along with access to the Executive lounge.

On arrival transfer to Kandy with Cinnamon Air for 2 nights. Explore the Temple of the Tooth, Royal Botanical Garden with a Botany Host and proceed to Galagedara ancestral home for a garden tour and a home cooked lunch.

Take the Cinnamon Air flight and proceed to Amanwella where you will enjoy the golden beaches of the Indian Ocean with big game safaris in the Yala national park in search of leopards, sloth bears and wild elephants. Also visit the Mulkirigala cave temple.

Finally drive to Amangalla and experience a Galle Fort walk with a resident host and also visit the Virgin White Tea plantation for a Ceylon tea factory tour. VIP assistance and lounges will be available at the airport onarrival and departure with transfers in an English speaking chauffeur guide driven SUV throughout the journey.
