Description

With lush rolling hills, medieval towns and meandering roads keeping it all together, both Tuscany and Umbria are a walker’s idyll. There is something eminently peaceful in wandering through hilltop towns that have stood watch here since the Middle Ages, passing vines tended by generations of winemakers, and savouring traditional cuisine made of the freshest local ingredients. Believe us, once you experience this medieval magic, you’ll never want to leave.

This is our 10th Butterfield Trip. It remains the best way to see a region. Nothing beats vigorous activity during the day and luxury at night. Bespoke trips for a large group are cost-effective and totally your own. We loved our guides Denis and Jerome this month in Loire, France. Amazing trip. With B&R you have access to private homes, private experiences, and people and places you would never meet otherwise.
