Day 1
Livingstone, Zambia
None Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snack

Arrive at Livingstone Airport and transfer by road to Toka Leya Camp for two nights. Toka Leya is located in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park overlooking the Zambezi River. Twelve spacious en-suite safari-style tents (including three family tents) with expansive decks soak up the dramatic views and active wildlife. Wooden walkways snake between the units and main area, limiting our footprint on this pristine area.

Day 2
Livingstone, Zambia
None Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snack

The Victoria Falls is known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya (“the smoke that thunders”), due to its towering plume of spray that is visible at a distance. Within this area of the mighty Zambezi River guests can engage in wildlife viewing or one of the many adrenalin activities on offer. Scheduled camp activities include a river cruise on the camp’s boats, a game drive in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park a guided tour of the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls, a guided tour of Livingstone and Livingstone Museum, and a visit to a nearby village plus local curio shops. All meals are also included.

Day 3
Kafue, Zambia
None Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snack

Transfer to Livingstone Airport and fly to the Kafue National Park (Plains Airstrip) for three nights at Shumba Camp. Set right in the centre of the Busanga Plains, Shumba – meaning lion – has been appropriately named after the lions that make the plains their home. With easy access to permanent water and views encompassing 360 degrees across the plains, Shumba Camp offers the ultimate combination of wildlife and luxury.

Day 4
Kafue, Zambia
None Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snack

You will feel only pampered in one of Shumba’s six spacious luxury safari tents situated on raised platforms. From here guests see hundreds of red lechwe, puku and roan “flocking” to feed on the nutritious surrounding grasses.

Day 5
Kafue, Zambia
None Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snack

The dining, bar and plunge pool area have also been built to maximise views and meals are either served here or in the boma where guests enjoy elements of local Zambian culture. This three night stay includes a balloon flight over the Busanga Plains. Your stay also includes twice-daily scheduled camp activities and all meals.

Day 6
Lusaka, Zambia

Terms & Conditions

Once a booking has been confirmed to us, we will change the booking’s status from “provisional” to “confirmed” on condition that you have secured the specified non-refundable deposit from your guests. The standard amount is 20% of the total land arrangement costs but this amount can vary depending on certain terms and conditions or party size. Please contact your journey specialist for details and please do NOT confirm a booking unless you have this non-refundable deposit, as you will become liable for cancellation fees if the booking does not materialize. In some parts of the world it has been customary for the guest to pay a nominal deposit for a holiday, with a small penalty if they cancel. Wilderness camps are relatively small making the fixed running costs and resultant break- even occupancies extremely sensitive. The cancellation of a mere two guests can put the camp into a loss situation and therefore we cannot accept bookings made with a nominal deposit, nor can we afford lenient cancellation terms. Please ensure that you have the required non-refundable deposit from your guests before a booking is confirmed with us. We urge you to review the booking conditions between your company and your guests. We believe that guests who are firmly committed to travelling and are covered by full travel insurance in the event that they cancel for insurable reasons e.g. medical problems, should have no problems in committing to this non-refundable deposit

Full payment from the guest is due eight weeks prior to arrival, after which our cancellation fees escalate in accordance with our cancellation policy.

Cancellation fees are levied when guests cancel confirmed reservations. The costs of the cancellation fees will escalate the closer the guests, cancels to their confirmed departure date. Our penalties escalate from forfeiting the deposit to payment in full as follows:

• If a cancellation is made more than 8 weeks before departure the non-refundable deposit is forfeited.

• If a cancellation is made between 4 weeks and 8 weeks, the deposit plus 25% of the price.

• If a guest cancels between 3 and 4 weeks prior to departure, 50% of the price.

• If a guest cancels between 2 and 3 weeks prior to departure, 60% of the price.

• If a guest cancels less than two weeks prior to departure, the 100% of the price.

Groups and Incentives have a different cancellation fee policy. This is available at time of quoting.

What a great job these folks do! Everything was above par and I felt like royalty. We had private guides, incredible accommodations and our connections went very well. I was very pleased and would, most certainly, use this company again and recommend to anyone! Many thanks for a wonderful trip!

The Wilderness camps were wonderful. The facilities were clean and spacious and the food was outstanding. The staff was very warm, competent and welcoming; I am not sure I have ever been in a place where everyone was as genuinely happy about life. The guides were knowledgeable, fun, friendly and passionate about their trade. We enjoyed the experience immensely

A wonderful trip that exceeds superlatives. The trip started in Cape Town SA where we visited the Kirstenboch botanical garden and wine country. Then for Safari to Namibia Rhino Camp and Skeleton Coast both run by Wilderness Safaris. Individual bungalows at both camps and at all others as well. Great camps. All along the way we were escorted from one connection to the next and it was wonderful. The second time I might (?) be able to do it myself. From Namibia to the Okavango delta in Botswana - one of the premier places in the world for wild life viewing. We stopped in two camps - Tubu Tree camp and Chobi. In Chobi we saw all wild life x2. Finally to Sabu little bush camp near Kruger SA - also wonderful. Food was out of this world. Starting in Namibia, mostly desert, and going to Botswana next was the right order. We will want to go back. We still have want to see the jungle and will use Michael.
