Guests are met upon arrival at the Maun Airport and assisted to their charter flight departing for the Central Kalahari where they check in at Kalahari Plains Camp for three nights.

Day 2

Kalahari Plains Camp overlooks an immense pan with endless horizons and beautiful skies. It comprises eight en-suite canvas units with a sleep-out above each from which to enjoy moonlit or star-studded nights

A highlight of your stay is the interpretive, guided "Bushman Walk" led by camp staff members who hail from the San Bushman clans of the area. The walk provides insights into their traditional lifestyle through dress, activities and a short walk (800 metres) in the immediate camp area. Your stay includes twice daily scheduled camp activities and all meals.

Day 4

Breakfast and a morning activity are followed by a flight to the Okavango Delta for three nights at a Classic or Premier Camp.

Premier Camps: Abu Camp, Jao Camp, Little Mombo, Little Vumbura, Mombo Camp or Vumbura Plains.Classic Camps: Chitabe Camp, Chitabe Lediba, Jacana Camp, Kwetsani Camp, Little Tubu, Little Vumbura, Seba Camp, Tubu Tree Camp or Xigera.

The Okavango Delta, one of the most incredible wilderness sanctuaries in Africa, comprises 15 000 square kilometres of water channels, lagoons and islands.

Day 6

Each year floodwaters flow from the central African highlands, over 1 000 km away, into the Delta to create this wondrous wetland within a desert. Your stay includes two daily scheduled camp activities and all meals.

Day 7
Linyanti, Botswana

After breakfast a charter flight departs for the Chobe Airstrip located in the private Linyanti Concession, Northern Botswana. Here guests enjoy a three night stay either at Kings Pool, Duma Tau Camp or Savuti Camp.

Along the Linyanti faultline are varied woodland habitats and ancient floodplains, making the Linyanti an essential component of a Botswana itinerary.

These landscapes host abundant wildlife including the world’s highest densities of elephant in the dry winter months. Your stay includes twice daily scheduled camp activities and all meals

Day 10
Livingstone, Zambia

A charter flight to Kasane connects with a charter flight to Livingstone, crossing the border between Botswana and Zambia. Guests are met upon arrival and transferred to Toka Leya in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park overlooking the Zambezi River. Twelve spacious en-suite safari-style tents (including three family tents) with expansive decks soak up the dramatic views and active wildlife. Wooden walkways snake between the units and main area, limiting our footprint on this pristine area.

Livingstone, Zambia

The Victoria Falls is known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya (“the smoke that thunders”), due to its towering plume of spray that is visible at a distance. Within this area of the mighty Zambezi River guests can engage in wildlife viewing or one of the many adrenalin activities on offer. Scheduled camp activities include a river cruise on the camp’s boats, a game drive in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park a guided tour of the Zambian side of the Victoria Falls, a guided tour of Livingstone and Livingstone Museum, and a visit to a nearby village plus local curio shops. All meals are also included.

After breakfast, a scheduled road transfer takes guests to Livingstone’s Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport in time for their international return flight home.

This 12-day itinerary includes three completely diverse areas in Botswana: the Central Kalahari, the Okavango Delta and the Linyanti region, combined with Livingstone in Zambia. The combination of these three areas with Livingstone offers a wide variety and abundance of animal and birdlife in each area’s own unique landscape and time to explore one of the Natural Wonders of the World – the Victoria Falls.

Terms & Conditions

CONFIRMED BOOKINGS

Once a booking has been confirmed to us, we will change the booking’s status from “provisional” to “confirmed” on condition that you have secured the specified non-refundable deposit from your guests. The standard amount is 20% of the total land arrangement costs but this amount can vary depending on certain terms and conditions or party size. Please contact your journey specialist for details and please do NOT confirm a booking unless you have this non-refundable deposit, as you will become liable for cancellation fees if the booking does not materialize. In some parts of the world it has been customary for the guest to pay a nominal deposit for a holiday, with a small penalty if they cancel. Wilderness camps are relatively small making the fixed running costs and resultant break- even occupancies extremely sensitive. The cancellation of a mere two guests can put the camp into a loss situation and therefore we cannot accept bookings made with a nominal deposit, nor can we afford lenient cancellation terms. Please ensure that you have the required non-refundable deposit from your guests before a booking is confirmed with us. We urge you to review the booking conditions between your company and your guests. We believe that guests who are firmly committed to travelling and are covered by full travel insurance in the event that they cancel for insurable reasons e.g. medical problems, should have no problems in committing to this non-refundable deposit

PAYMENTS

Full payment from the guest is due eight weeks prior to arrival, after which our cancellation fees escalate in accordance with our cancellation policy.

CANCELLATIONS OF FIT BOOKINGS

Cancellation fees are levied when guests cancel confirmed reservations. The costs of the cancellation fees will escalate the closer the guests, cancels to their confirmed departure date. Our penalties escalate from forfeiting the deposit to payment in full as follows:

• If a cancellation is made more than 8 weeks before departure the non-refundable deposit is forfeited.

• If a cancellation is made between 4 weeks and 8 weeks, the deposit plus 25% of the price.

• If a guest cancels between 3 and 4 weeks prior to departure, 50% of the price.

• If a guest cancels between 2 and 3 weeks prior to departure, 60% of the price.

• If a guest cancels less than two weeks prior to departure, the 100% of the price.

Groups and Incentives have a different cancellation fee policy. This is available at time of quoting.

The Wilderness camps were wonderful. The facilities were clean and spacious and the food was outstanding. The staff was very warm, competent and welcoming; I am not sure I have ever been in a place where everyone was as genuinely happy about life. The guides were knowledgeable, fun, friendly and passionate about their trade. We enjoyed the experience immensely

A wonderful trip that exceeds superlatives. The trip started in Cape Town SA where we visited the Kirstenboch botanical garden and wine country. Then for Safari to Namibia Rhino Camp and Skeleton Coast both run by Wilderness Safaris. Individual bungalows at both camps and at all others as well. Great camps. All along the way we were escorted from one connection to the next and it was wonderful. The second time I might (?) be able to do it myself. From Namibia to the Okavango delta in Botswana - one of the premier places in the world for wild life viewing. We stopped in two camps - Tubu Tree camp and Chobi. In Chobi we saw all wild life x2. Finally to Sabu little bush camp near Kruger SA - also wonderful. Food was out of this world. Starting in Namibia, mostly desert, and going to Botswana next was the right order. We will want to go back. We still have want to see the jungle and will use Michael.
