The Grand Winnipeg Airport Hotel Dinner

Arrive in Winnipeg and enjoy a relaxing night—you’ll need your rest for your early morning departure to Churchill. Over an arranged dinner at the hotel, meet your group and your adventure specialist. Accommodations are at The Grand Winnipeg Airport Hotel in a Deluxe Room.

Dymond Lake Lodge Lunch, Dinner

A commercial flight will transport you to Churchill, from where you will be flown by helicopter or fixed wing aircraft to the lodge. This exciting flight takes you out over the Churchill River, and then northwest up the rugged Hudson Bay coastline. Keep a sharp eye out for caribou, moose, seals, wolves and of course the great Ice Bears. Accommodations are at Dymond Lake Lodge in a Lodge Room.

Each morning after breakfast, you’ll head out with an expert guide to safely view the bears. The walks are comfortably paced, as they are geared towards plenty of viewing and photo opportunities. Evenings bring informative lectures and conversations around the fire. Accommodations are at Dymond Lake Lodge in a Lodge Room.

Polar bears are also known to saunter by the lodge on a regular basis, so you can often view them from the warmth and comfort of the lounge through the massive picture windows. In the evenings, enjoy informative lectures and beautiful slide presentations. Accommodations are at Dymond Lake Lodge in a Lodge Room.

Day 5

Churchill, MB Canada
Moderate Hotel in Churchill Breakfast, Dinner

Travel by charter flight from the lodge to Churchill, where you’ll have the day to explore the town (highlights include the Eskimo Museum and the Polar Bear Holding Compound!), or arrange a dogsledding tour or helicopter charter. Accommodations are at a moderate hotel in Churchill.

The Grand Winnipeg Airport Hotel Lunch

For your last day in polar bear country, you’ll travel by “Tundra Buggy” across the tundra for more bear viewing on a full-day organized adventure. In the evening, a commercial flight will deliver you back to Winnipeg. Accommodations are at The Grand Winnipeg Airport Hotel in a Deluxe Room.

Trip to Canada

Our experience with Entree Canada was excellent. All of the drivers and cars were very good and the recommended guides were knowledgeable and helpful. They scheduled us on Via Rail Canada from Montreal to Quebec City and the attendants were extremely nice and helpful as were the lady porters. One of our traveling companions lost a hearing aid while on the train and didn't discover it until we reached the hotel, Auberge St. Antoine, who called immediately. The train had departed. Miraculously, the next day Via Rail brought the hearing aid to the hotel. That is really good service. Use Entree Canada if you travel to Canada.

Entree Canada was great. There was a contact at the airport waiting for us to help get the trip started on the right foot. We loved all the guides they recommended for us - they fun and knowledgable, and took us to places both on and off the beaten path. Entree checked in with us during the trip as well to make sure that everything was running smoothly which was a nice touch.
