Our travel group was well cared for during all of our trip in Hong Kong and People's Republic of China. The hotel accommodations, local bus transportation and restaurant selections were great. Our local guides and national guide were very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. They provided us with bottled water during our daily tours and to take to our rooms in the evenings. Worth the Money

Our guides were very good - knowledgeable and friendly locals that gave us a great picture of Hong Kong. The Dragon's Back hike is super - fantastic views of the Pacific away from the crowds and chaos of downtown. The start is a little steep, but accessible for almost anyone. We also enjoyed the tram ride to Victoria and lunch was wonderful - the guide picked out incredible dishes and the view is spectacular. The Big Buddha and cable car ride on Lantau was also a great experience, well planned and executed, and a must-see. Our driver was there whenever we needed him despite the crazy traffic. I'd recommend A&K and these guides if you want to make your trip to Hong Kong special!

Best China Tour Guides

We were a little hesitant about using A&K thinking that their tours might be too upscale for our family of 6, and we trusted our long-time travel agent. However, we couldn't have been more pleased! Working with LF Travel, A&K made sure the itinerary was a perfect fit for us. Their responsiveness to us and our travel agent was also excellent. But what really distinguishes A&K are their local guides, who were simply fantastic! It was as though they were handpicked for our family. For sure, each was very knowledgeable about their city and the itinerary sights, but they also bonded with our family incredibly well and provided invaluable personal insights and perspectives, that greatly enhanced our travel. Their customer service was "above and beyond," making sure everything went smoothly at every point and helping us with anything we needed to get done, including our laundry. Rebecca (Beijing), John (Xi'an), Wallace (Hong Kong), and Jeff (Shanghai) were each truly exceptional!

I think these guys are probably capable of doing good but we really did not see it. Our guides were way under qualified. Their most marketable asset was ability to speak English. We used AK folks as a security blanket but decided early on / we used them in 6 cities of our trip. Some better than others. We had Benny in HK who was a real hustler. He pushed his tailor for suits which I did not appreciate. He was street smart and we did find his insight helpful on many things. His subject matter was Hong Kong- I'd love to have that as a subject and get paid for it. I think they need to find guides who can speak English and have more in common with guests- at least a college education.

Hong Kong Tour Guides

May was an incredible tour guide to Lantau Island. She and the driver were very knowledgeable about the island, and about Hong Kong in general. Their insights were very educational while providing for a leisurely tour. The weather unfortunately did not cooperate, it was quite foggy and chilly which made it impossible to see the Big Buddha statue on top of the mountain from the usual parking location. The driver used his contacts and was able to drive us up to the very base of the Big Buddha which afforded us a foggy but great viewing experience.
