Begin your day with a visit to Yuanjiajie, part of the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, and discover the breath-taking view that served as the inspiration for the floating mountains of the movie Avatar. From the observation platform, take in the mountainous pillars and peaks, shrouded in mist and rising from the valley below. Some explorers described this view as an army of men, standing strong against the enemy. From here, make a stop at Helong Park to see the Bronze Statue built in memory of Marshal Helong, before making your way to the West Sea for more spectacular views. Gaze across the rocky peaks, all forming different shapes and covered in a lush green vegetation, giving the impression of a “sea of trees”. In spring or summer or after the autumn rain, low cloud rolls in, completely consuming the peaks. The view is so magnificent that it is known as the “sea of clouds”. You will have the chance to ride up in a cable car and back down in an elevator.Lunch today is under your own arrangements and after sightseeing, you are transferred back to your hotel around 17.00.
