Day 1
Reykjavík, Iceland

Your first feeling of Iceland starts right at the airport as the Leifur Eiriksson Keflavik airport is really small, on international level, and easy. Your driver will be waiting for you in the arriving hall, welcoming you to Iceland. Your private driver will drop you off at your hotel.

The capital of Iceland, Reykjavik, is a small city on an international scale but it makes up for it with its friendly atmosphere. There is a lot to do in Reykjavik, including museums, famous buildings or just sit down at a coffee-house and watch Icelanders go about their business.

HighlightsHouse of Parliament: A classic 19th century structure, built in 1881. It houses Althingi, the Icelandic parliament. Next to the parliament is Reykjavik Cathedral which is the seat of the Bishop of Iceland.

Harpa: A concert hall conference center by the Reykjavik harbor. The structure consists of a steel framework clad with geometric shaped glass panels of different colors

Hallgrimskirkja: Standing on top of a hill, Hallgrimskirkja church towers over the city of Reykjavik. The church tower is 75 meters high and from the top you have a panoramic view of Reykjavik.

Day 3
Hella, Iceland

Private tour with a luxury vehicle. Iceland’s main attraction is the Golden Circle, It combines most of what Iceland has to offer, beautiful landscape, powerful geysers and the most magnificent waterfall. If you’re in a mood for something more, you can also visit Kerid, a volcanic crater.


Thingvellir National Park: A huge part of Iceland’s history since the first Althingi in 930. It is also a Geological phenomenon, standing on two tectonic plates that are gradually moving away from each other. Thingvellir is listed as a Unesco World heritage site.Geysir area: Home to a number of hot spouting geysers. The most famous one is Great Geysir itself but the most energetic one is Strokkur, it spouts every few minutes up to the height of 40 meters.

Gullfoss waterfall: Iceland‘s most famous waterfall, plummeting down 32 meters in two stages directly to the canyon below. The water in Gullfoss comes from the second biggest glacier in Iceland, Langjokull glacier.

Kerid: Volcanic crater located in Grimsnes. Kerid is a crater lake 170 meters wide and 270 meters across.

Overnight at Hotel Ranga

Hotel Ranga is a luxury countryside hotel and the only 4 star resort in South Iceland. It offers all the facilities and services of a modern resort. Located about an hour from Reykjavík between the towns of Hella and Hvolsvöllur, it lies just off the main road right in middle of South Iceland’s panoramic scenery.

It‘s a 60 meter high waterfall with a footpath behind it so if you‘re not afraid to get a little wet you can walk behind it.Reynisdrangar: Basalt sea stacks in the North-Atlantic Ocean. Legend says that the stacks originated when two trolls dragged a three-master ship to land unsuccessfully and when daylight broke they became needles of rock.Black sandy beaches: Walk in the black sand beach of Reynisfjara and see waves of the north Atlantic break on the beach.Skogarfoss waterfall: It‘s usually counted as one of Iceland‘s most beautiful waterfall. It thunders down into a small canyon and it‘s easy to walk all the way up to it and capture the moment in all its glory.

Day 5

Reykjanesskagi is a peninsula at the southwestern end of Iceland, near the capital Reykjavik. The peninsula is marked by active volcanism under its surface, and large lava fields, allowing little vegetation. There are numerous hot springs and sulphur springs to see on the Reykjanes peninsula.HighlightsKleifarvatn Lake: In a big earthquake in 2000 the lake began to diminish and about 20% of its surface disappeared. Since the earthquake it has slowly started to fill up again and in 2008 the lake had regained its previous surface level.Seltun geothermal area: Sulphuric water and gases have created colorful deposits, the soil is colored in green, yellow and red colors.Krysuvikurbjarg: Cliffs where you see the North Atlantic Ocean break on the cliff. Krysuvikurbjarg is known for its active bird life and of course it’s amazing beauty. Blue lagoon: The waters in the Blue Lagoon are rich in minerals that are meant to have healing powers for your skin. The Blue lagoon is something you may only experience once in a lifetime, so dip in and enjoy the hot water and white mud on your skin.After the blue Lagoon time for your departure. great walking tour! We loved our guide and learned quite a bit. She was flexible and ended switching gears a bit to talk to us about the Beer Culture in Copenhagen. I never hesitate to trust Cassandra and her suggestions.
