Day 1
Lisbon, Portugal
Four Seasons Ritz Hotel Dinner

Please note that the following itinerary is an example, as all of our journeys are custom-made.

International flight to Lisbon. Upon arrival you will be greeted by your host and transferred to the Four Seasons Hotel. After having settled in, head to Belém, a town recognized for its concentration of national monuments and public spaces, including a mixture of historical buildings and modern symbols of Portuguese culture. Explore the Complex of Belém which is home to the Jerónimos Monastery and the Tower of Belém, both UNESCO World Heritage sites. In the evening enjoy a gourmet dinner at Alma restaurant.

Day 2
Lisbon, Portugal
Four Seasons Ritz Hotel Lunch, Dinner, Snack

Visit Sintra, a resort town in the foothills of Portugal’s Sintra Mountains. Sintra was a longtime royal sanctuary, and its forested terrain is studded with pastel-colored villas and palaces. Visit the magical Pena Palace which is a UNESCO World Heritage site and considered the greatest example of 19th-century Romanticism in the world. The palace sprawls on a hilltop high above the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, and can often be seen from Lisbon, 17 miles away. Afterwards, head to a private manor house built by the father of the second Duchess of Palmella and inspired by the “Petit Trianon” in Versailles. You will be invited to enjoy drinks and exquisite pastries with the present owner, who is a descendant of the Duchess.

Move on to Cascais, a cosmopolitan suburb of the Portuguese capital known for its beautiful cliffs, beaches, yacht clubs and water sports. Enjoy a delicious seafood lunch overlooking the Atlantic Ocean followed by dessert at a famous ice cream parlor. Back in Lisbon, set out on a walking tour of the city’s main attractions including Rossio Square, the Church of Saint Roque and the Se Cathedral. In the evening, enjoy dinner with live Fado music and dancing at Club de Fado.

Day 3

São Lourenço do Barrocal Lunch

In the morning, you will have the option to explore some of Europe’s most famous museums including the Calouste Gulbenkian and the Berardo Collection. Between the 2 you will see magnificent displays of modern and contemporary collections including Egyptian, Greek, Roman, Islamic, Asian, and European art. Alternatively, head out on an exclusive shopping experience around Lisbon’s finest artisanal shops and specialty stores. The city is known for its artisanal craftsmanship, including famed crown jewelry, traditional porcelain and linen productions.

Around midday, you will be privately transferred to the Alentejo Province for an exclusive private tour of the vintage barrels at a historical Quinta once owned by King João V. Enjoy a wine tasting of only the best productions followed by a delicious traditional lunch with the owner and his wife. Following lunch, you will be taken to the city of Evora, the capital of the Alentejo Province, to explore its historical city center, UNESCO World Heritage site. Afterwards, you will be transferred to São Lourenço do Barrocal, an exclusive 800 hector farm estate, where you will be assisted with check-in. Enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 4
Alentejo, Portugal
São Lourenço do Barrocal Lunch

Set out for a hike or mountain biking excursion towards the Alqueva Lake with your private expert guide. Enjoy a delicious picnic lunch comprised of regional delicacies with spectacular views of the Alentejo Region in a charming natural setting. Relax by the pool and spa for the afternoon. Later, set out on a horseback-riding (or hike or vehicle) excursion following an ancient trail until you reach medieval Monsaraz in time to observe the alluring sunset.

Day 5
Porto, Portugal
The Yeatman Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Following breakfast you will be privately transferred to Lisbon for your flight to Porto (Approx. 50 minutes). Porto is a coastal city in northwest Portugal known for its stately bridges and Port wine production. Upon arrival you will be greeted by your host and checked-in to the Yeatman Hotel where you will savor a delicious lunch. After lunch depart on a private boat tour to see the famous bridges of Porto, one of the only European cities to have 6 major bridges, including the Maria Pia Bridge which was designed by Gustave Eiffel. Later, enjoy a VIP tour and Port tasting at the Grahams Port Lodge. In the evening, dine at the Yeatman’s gourmet restaurant.

Day 6
Porto, Portugal
The Yeatman Lunch, Dinner

Set out on a gastronomic sightseeing tour throughout the city. Enjoy lunch along the tour at a local seafood restaurant by the Douro River. Back at the hotel, spend the afternoon at you leisure and take some time to relax at the Yeatman Caudalie Vinotherapy Spa. In the late-afternoon you will be privately transferred to the beach for a fabulous gourmet dinner with spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Day 7
Lamego, Portugal
Six Senses Douro Valley Lunch, Dinner

In the morning you will be privately transferred to the Douro Valley (Approx. 1.5 hours). Along the way visit Guimarães, a historic city marked with an impressive UNESCO World Heritage site at its center. Alternatively, be privately transferred to an ecological bike path near Bastos (Approx. 1 hour). From there you will begin a 30 kilometer biking venture southward on a former railway line towards the town of Amarante. Enjoy a delicious lunch on the terrace of a luxurious boutique property. Continue on to the Six Senses for check-in.

Relax at your leisure in the afternoon at the Six Sense Spa or pool. Later, walk to an exclusive Port vineyard nearby for a private tasting of rare Tawny selections. In the early-evening you will be privately transferred to one of acclaimed Chef Rui Paula’s restaurants for dinner with spectacular views of the river.

Day 8
Lamego, Portugal
Six Senses Douro Valley Lunch, Dinner, Snack

Following breakfast, you will be transferred to the picturesque village of Provesende. Enjoy fresh homemade pastries at a bakery in the heart of the village. You will then begin a 5km downhill hike towards Pinhão with beautiful scenery of the local vineyards and terraces along the way. There you will climb aboard a private boat which will take you along the Douro River until you reach a private wine estate. Enjoy an exclusive red wine tasting followed by lunch on a terrace with breathtaking panoramic views. Back on the boat, flow down the river to the pier in Folgosa where you will be picked up by your host in a vehicle and transferred back to the Six Senses. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner made with fresh ingredients, harvested only as needed, at the hotel.

Day 9
Porto, Portugal

Following breakfast, you will be met by your host and privately transferred to Porto for your international flight home.
