At 9:30am, you will meet your professional guide in the hotel lobby for your local market visit and private cooking class.
First, you will explore the local market of the day where tastes and smells from the orient assault your senses. The bazaars continue to be an exotic trading house for freshest vegetables, fruits, dried herbs, spices and exotic condiments. You can also find colorful local produce, fresh cheeses and pickles.
After your market visit you will enjoy a cooking class with a professional local chef. Arriving to the kitchen, you will learn about traditional Turkish dishes and how a variety of international dishes influenced the Ottoman cuisine of Topkapi Palace. Don your apron and learn some new recipes, which may include dishes such as eggplant salad, fragrant rice pilaf, pepper dolmas or vine leaf rolls. Your appetite thoroughly whetted, sit down and enjoy your creations with a glass of wine.
At the end of your cooking class, you will return to the meeting point approximately around 2:30pm.
