Tour Features

  • Sightseeing
  • Wildlife & Nature

A unique itinerary takes you across part of the ancient Bering Land Bridge that once connected Asia with North America. Nome, situated on the Bering Sea coastline, started life as a 'wild west' tent city during the gold rush and still retains some of period atmosphere today. Travelers can experience the thrill of exploring Alaska's last frontier, where gold prospectors can still be seen working sluice boxes on Nome's beaches. Around the world Nome is famous as the finish line for the Iditarod Sled Dog Race, the epic 1,000-mile winter race across Alaska from Anchorage. Pilgrim Springs and Council (population two) are also fascinating destinations. History is everywhere - old roadhouses and even Wyatt Earp's original cabin may be found in Dexter. With round-the-clock daylight during the summer, you can set your own schedule for best wildlife viewing.

Loved the helicopter and small plane glacier sight-seeing trips--safe and knowledgeable pilots with great itineraries. Loved staying at Kantishna Roadhouse--great hikes that gave us a taste of tundra life. All the lodging was super. Would go with All Alaska Tours again--thanks to Suzette for setting us up with them.

Excellent all around. We might have ordered our events slightly differently to mitigate some extensive travel but other than that it was well done!
