Your journey begins as your naturalist guide transports you to Tarangire National Park, dotted with majestic baobabs and an unusually large elephant population – up to six thousand of the familial pachyderms. After a warm welcome and relaxed lunch at your tented camp, grab your cameras for an afternoon game drive to view the multitude of wildlife along the Tarangire River. Your ranger is expert at spotting those reclining big cats lazing in the grasses. Gather with your safari companions to toast the start of your safari as you look out at the sun sinking over the splendid vistas. Then, tuck in for a hearty dinner beneath the stars.Meals: BLD

Spend the day with a full menu of gameviewing as you explore Tarangire’s riverine thickets, grassy acacia woodlands and stands of ancient baobabs. Depending on the season, you’ll see large numbers of wildebeest and zebra as well as giraffe, buffalo, Thompson's gazelle, greater and lesser kudu, eland, leopard and cheetah. The birding is outstanding - watch for huge flocks of flamingos and other wading birds as the Manyara and Tarangire Pans fill with water during the wet season. This afternoon, depending on the site of your tented camp, go birdwatching at Lake Manyara, take a guided bush walk or experience a cultural visit to the semi-nomadic Datoga and Maasai nearby.Meals: BLD

Late this afternoon, you’ll arrive at your tented camp on the shore of Lake Eyasi, an immense seasonal soda lake. Explore the grounds spread among a beautiful natural palm and acacia forest, enjoy the lake views with colossal rock formations as a backdrop, and birdwatch at the natural spring before dinner.Meals: BLD

Lake Eyasi
Kisima Ngeda Tented Camp None
Be prepared for an extraordinary cross-cultural experience today when you meet the local nomadic tribes and learn about their traditional lifestyles. Join a local guide and interpreter to walk with the local Bushmen (Wahadzabe) as they hunt using bows and arrows and gather tubers and roots in this dry and rugged landscape. This afternoon, you’ll meet the pastoral Datoga people, who have retained their unique cultural practices - the women still dress in goat skins and adorn themselves with stacks of brass bracelets, clicking rhythmically as they dance.Meals: BLD

The black-maned lion, wildebeest, zebra, elephant, hippo, jackal and hyena all frequent the crater while flocks of flamingoes and multiple species of birds dot the soda lake. Depending on the season, you’ll have a choice of half-day hikes into the Empakai Crater, Olmoti Crater or the surrounding highlands. Later, visit a Maasai village where herdsmen graze their cattle around the crater rim.Meals: BLD

Soon, you’ll be on your way to Serengeti National park, often called the most impressive wildlife sanctuary in the world, and your mobile tented camp. Depending on the season, the camp is moved to the wilderness area most conducive to observing the wildlife. Tonight, soak up the sounds of the bush from your verandah and sink into slumber in your comfortably-furnished and spacious tent, complete with ensuite bathroom and bush shower.Meals: BLD

Observe placid elephants encircling their young while countless wildebeest graze alongside zebras and antelope. Among the massive granite kopjes dotting the grass, you may spot a camouflaged leopard and her cubs playing in the shadows and, more likely tiny dik diks bounding into the shade. I could have have even imagined the experience that awaited us. The first night on a game drive we experienced watching lions eating a kill, so close you could smell the animals. All other animal siteings were equally as exciting. The lodging were excellent, service was first class and the people were wonderful. Cannot wait to go again. Post Haste Travel & African Travel did a fantastic job.!!!

Our African Travel experience was fantastic. We didn't know what to expect, but having said that, our African experience was far and away more than we could have dreamed. The game drives and safari hotels were all great. WE couldn't have planned this trip alone, so the African Travel Inc. portion was vital to our having a great time, which we certainly did.

Great trip. Almost seamless transitions from one camp to another. I am a bit baffled that the 5% repeat traveler was not applied to these last two trips to Africa with African Travel.

Everyone we dealt with at Africa Travel were great. They arranged the best guides and made sure our travel through every airport and border was smooth and without issues. Anytime we had a question, they quickly responded through their contact people in every location. Our travel advisor selected Africa Travel for us, but we cannot say enough good things about our accommodations and all of the logistical arrangements.

This was the first time that we have used Africa Adventure Company. Their recommendations for trip itinerary and accommodations were spot-on. The private guides were exceptional - extremely knowledgeable, courteous, accommodating, and professional. They were great ambassadors for their respective countries, and we saw many animals and rare animal behaviors because of their expertise, leadership, and guidance.

African Answers .was very easy to work with and ALWAYS available for questions. My contact at Africa Answers was Rowan and he did a great job; I was taken care of from the minute I stepped off the plane until I left the country. A person was assigned to me in both countries I visited. People who listened, were on time or early for pickups and very knowledgable about every portion of the area I was vacationing in. My last day in country I was not feeling well, so on the fly I asked to drop something that had been planned for me to do and instead just find a place to rest. The guys that Africa Answers was working with took care of everything. Book with these guys.

African Travel was great! Other than a small hiccup with a hotel in Capetown (which they remedied), the trip was awesome. The drivers and tour guides that they hire were all super friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable. The businesses they chose for Shark Diving, Cape of Good Hope, and the Thorny Bush Reserve were excellent places. My wife and I would definitely recommend African Travel to friends and family! Cheers!
