Upon arrival at Sydney Airport you will be met and privately transferred to the Park Hyatt Sydney. Seated majestically on one of the world’s most beautiful harbours, Park Hyatt Sydney perfectly personifies contemporary harbourside luxury with its coveted location between the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge. The hotel's spacious rooms feature contemporary interiors, modern bathrooms with dual vanity, wet area, rainshower, deep bathtub and floor-to-ceiling glass doors that open to private balconies.


This afternoon you will have at leisure to get acquainted with the harbour city of Sydney.

Day 2

Included in your Sydney stay is an Ultimate Sydney Sail tour on a private basis. This is the perfect way to get your bearings, spending time with an experienced passionate guide to introduce you to one of the most beautiful cities in the world. After breakfast your private guide will collect you from your hotel for a drive around the historic Rocks precinct, visiting the first church in Australia, the Observatory and the convict built cottages, continuing around Circular Quay, the Opera House and into the magnificent Botanical Gardens. Stop and take a short walk to view Mrs Macquarie’s chair and excellent harbour views to the Harbour Bridge and Opera House.


Continue through Woolloomooloo, Kings Cross and into Rushcutters bay. Enjoy lunch at the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia, Australia’s premier yacht club and home to what is considered yachting’s ‘Everest’ – the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race.


Pass through Darling Point, one of Sydney’s most affluent suburbs and see some of Sydney’s most sought after addresses. Also drive by Double Bay, Rose Bay, Vaucluse and Watsons Bay, before traversing along the coastline to Sydney’s most famous beach, Bondi Beach. Here you will have some time to soak up the atmosphere of this beachside Mecca. Stroll down the esplanade with the locals and maybe enjoy an ice cream before re-boarding your vehicle.


Return to the city, via Oxford Street Paddington, arriving at Darling Harbour where your yacht awaits for a cruise around Sydney Harbour with a delicious afternoon tea.  After an incredible 2 hours on the world’s most beautiful harbour, your vessel returns to Darling Harbour.  Here you may decide to eat out at any one of the dozen or more restaurants, stay and enjoy the entertainment, or take the monorail into the city, returning to your hotel at your leisure.


Day 3

This morning you are in for a real treat as you make your way to the BridgeClimb, the ultimate experience of Sydney; reach the summit of the world famous Sydney Harbour Bridge, 134 metres above Sydney Harbour. It takes you along catwalks, up ladders, and steadily to the summit of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Experience the satisfaction of conquering the upper arch of the Bridge while taking in city surrounds, the World Heritage listed Sydney Opera House, the harbour and the Bridge itself beneath your feet.


After lunch at your own leisure, make your way to the Sydney Opera for a one hour privately guided tour. Discover a House of passion, drama and betrayal. More than 60 years ago, Jorn Utzon designed what is now considered one of the greatest buildings of all time. Using state-of-the-art audio-visual technology, your guide will take you on an emotional journey inside this modern masterpiece.


At an additional cost there is also the option of a private surf lesson at famous Bondi Beach.

Day 4
Port Lincoln, Australia

This morning you will be met at the Park Hyatt Sydney and privately transferred to the Sydney Airport. Board the scheduled flight from Sydney Airport to Adelaide, and then connect through to Pt Lincoln.


Your personal guide will greet you at the airport on your arrival and then drive you the short distance to Glen Forest Animal Farm. Here you have the opportunity to hand-feed and interact with kangaroos and native birds, see a whole variety of other native and domestic animals. The very popular Lincoln Estate Winery also grows their grapes in this area and it is a great chance to sample some of this regions finest wine whilst relaxing amongst some Australia’s most popular native animals.


On the way back into Port Lincoln, you will call into the Winters Hill Lookout – a superb photo opportunity overlooking Port Lincoln, Boston Bay, and the Port Lincoln National Park.


Continue to your accommodation at the Port Lincoln Marina. South point Lodge is a 5 bedroom private beach house overlooking Boston Bay. Here you will be served by your hosts a 3 course meal showcasing fresh local produce.

Day 5

You will start off the day by “hunting and gathering” for some of Australia’s best seafood, including searching for Coffin Bay cockles and oysters. Your morning will also include a 1 - hour tour with Pure Oysters Coffin Bay Owner Chris Hank, showing and educating you all about the Pacific and the Native Angasi Oyster from his oyster processing shed. Fresh out of the rack, you get to sample these magnificent Oysters as well as seeing all the equipment used to get these Oysters into the top restaurants around the world.  


In the afternoon there is opportunity to experience one of Australia’s best marine parks viewing an abundance of marine life in safe and clear rock pools, beach comb and walk along one of the best white, footprint free sandy beaches, explore the rock pools with mask and snorkel for the prized abalone in the clear waters of the Great Southern Ocean.


There will be 4WDriving over some huge sand dunes, body surfing and beachcombing for those interested and even throwing a line in, from a private beach, to catch the big fighting Australian Salmon.


Last on the agenda is one of the very best vantage spots on the 2000 long stretch of the Great Australian Bight. The Cummings Monument provides this and more as the view gives you spectacular and uninterrupted views of the rugged cliff tops that make up the Bight. Adjacent to the Monument is a craggy pinnacle set amongst deep blue waters which makes a home to a family of sea eagles as they nest on top. On our way back to Port Lincoln, listen to the stories about the local legends and characters that live in our backyard.


Tonight, your hosts will prepare seafood BBQ of the days catch!

Day 6
Port Lincoln, Australia

It’s a 9.00am pickup and easy drive down to the industrial sector of Port Lincoln, the Flinders Ports Wharf. This wharf is South Australia’s main grain exporting plant as the natural deep-water harbor enables Port Lincoln to fully load grain carriers, up to the massive panamax class vessels. Often you will have the opportunity to view the unloading of a fishing boat, or fertilizer that has been imported to grain that is to be exported.


You will also be taken to the Marina Wharf to visit the home of the largest fishing fleet in the Southern Hemisphere, to see the diversity of Port Lincoln’s fishing industries and vessels. The local fishing industries include Bluefin Tuna, Hiramasa Kingfish, Spencer Gulf King Prawns, Blue Mussel, Southern Rock Lobster, and Sardines as well as smaller trailer boats used for Abalone, Southern Calamari, Snapper, Crabs and King George Whiting.


Following this, you are taken on a hands on, 45 minute tour of the Fresh Fish Place, where you will see the full process a fish goes through, from ocean to plate. Meet local fisherman as they drop off the catch of the day from all over the Eyre Peninsula, to the factory. At the end of the tour, you get to sample a tantalizing selection of in house smoked fish and pickled seafood. With a brand new shop front and kitchen, you can select your own piece of fresh fish and have this cooked to your taste buds desires over lunch. Locally grown condiments are promoted in the retail section here and co-owner Sandy Harder, is an amazing local artist whose talents adjourns the shops walls and make a great gift or memento of your visit.


If you love adventure and adrenaline, there is also the option of experiencing diving with Great White sharks, or swimming with the sealions – additional costs apply.

Day 7
Kangaroo Island, Australia

At the end of your three exhilarating days in Eyre Peninsula you will bid your private guide farewell and board your charter flight direct to Kingscote Airport on Kangaroo Island. You will be met on arrival at the airport and transferred to Southern Ocean Lodge.

Day 8

Today experience a full day of private touring with Exceptional Kangaroo Island. Former wildlife ranger and islander Craig Wickham, Exceptional Kangaroo Island’s founder, has assembled a team of dedicated, sharp-eyed outdoor enthusiasts who combine the role of naturalists, historians, driver, guides and story tellers to ensure you gain a locals perspective of the island.


At the conclusion of the tour you will be privately transferred to Kingscote Airport where you will board your scheduled flight to Adelaide Airport. Upon arrival at Adelaide Airport you will be privately transferred from the Airport to the Mayfair hotel in Adelaide.


Style, elegance and a touch of glamour comes to Adelaide with the arrival of the city's newest five star boutique hotel. The magnificent Mayfair Hotel is located right in the heart of the city at the corner of King William and Hindley Street in the heritage-listed, beautifully renovated building.

Day 11
Lizard Island, Australia

This morning you have an early start to the day, your private driver will collect you at the hotel and transfer you to Adelaide Airport. Board the scheduled flight to Cairns and connect with the scheduled flight between Cairns and Lizard Island.


Situated some 240 kilometres north of Cairns, Lizard Island is surrounded by a sea of deep aquamarine and forms part of the Great Barrier Reef near its northernmost end. The beautiful Lizard Island Resort is balanced high above the Coral Sea and set on the point at Sunset Ridge. The range of spacious open-plan designs are luxuriously appointed, all with spectacular views.


The beaches are plentiful, 24 in all, with fine powdery white sand, undisturbed but for the occasional footprints. Your island is for snorkelling, if you choose, or deep-sea game fishing, or diving at The Cod Hole, one of the world famous dive sites just a short boat ride away. Enjoy secluded picnics on private beaches, five star cuisine and indulging spa treatments.


Naturally many of the options on Lizard Island involve the water. Snorkelling equipment and lessons are provided. You can snorkel off a secluded beach to discover a garden of giant clams, many a metre long and some reputed to be 120 years old. Or you can explore Anchor and Watson’s bay on a catamaran or glass bottom paddle ski.


Fishing enthusiasts can charter the 15.5m “Fascination”, or dive the famous Cod Hole, where you may come face to face with the massive, yet curious Potato Cod.

This tour is designed for - Solo travellers/couples/small groups and families with children 10 years and over. Southern Ocean Lodge and Lizard Island is not suited to children under this age. Should the itinerary be of interest and you are travelling with a young family please contact one of our Travel Designers as we can customise a journey to suit your exact travel needs.


This Itinerary can be taken all year round; however we suggest speaking with your Travel Designer as seasonal considerations may apply. In Tropical North Queensland from December to March it is the wet season, when you are likely to experience high humidity and rain, particularly in the months of February and March. Please note that Lizard Island is closed from 30th January 2017 to 12 February 2017 inclusive.

Blair Allsopp was a tremendous guide through Brisbane... went the extra mile in finding school husband's father spent 2 years in during WWIII Qualia resort on Hamilton Is was fab resort Only complaint-- had my departure wrong in their written agenda. Compared it to travel agent's booking and caught the discrepancy. Would have missed plane back to the states !
