Upon arrival at Sydney Airport you will be met and privately transferred to the Four Seasons Hotel. Stunningly situated overlooking Sydney Harbour, Four Seasons Hotel Sydney puts you near the city’s vibrant shopping and business centres. Take in dramatic harbour views, indulge in a luxurious spa treatment, and explore the famous Rocks district.


You will have the remainder of the day to enjoy Sydney at your leisure.

Day 2

Included in your Sydney stay is an Ultimate Sydney Sail tour on a private basis. This is the perfect way to get your bearings, spending time with an experienced passionate guide to introduce you to one of the most beautiful cities in the world. After breakfast your private guide will collect you from your hotel for a drive around the historic Rocks precinct, visiting the first church in Australia, the Observatory and the convict built cottages, continuing around Circular Quay, the Opera House and into the magnificent Botanical Gardens. Stop and take a short walk to view Mrs Macquarie’s chair and excellent harbour views to the Harbour Bridge and Opera House.


Continue through Woolloomooloo, Kings Cross and into Rushcutters bay. Enjoy lunch at the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia, Australia’s premier yacht club and home to what is considered yachting’s ‘Everest’ – the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race.


Pass through Darling Point, one of Sydney’s most affluent suburbs and see some of Sydney’s most sought after addresses. Also drive by Double Bay, Rose Bay, Vaucluse and Watsons Bay, before traversing along the coastline to Sydney’s most famous beach, Bondi Beach. Here you will have some time to soak up the atmosphere of this beachside Mecca. Stroll down the esplanade with the locals and maybe enjoy an ice cream before re-boarding your vehicle.


Return to the city, via Oxford Street Paddington, arriving at Darling Harbour where your yacht awaits for a cruise around Sydney Harbour with a delicious afternoon tea.  After an incredible 2 hours on the world’s most beautiful harbour, your vessel returns to Darling Harbour.  Here you may decide to eat out at any one of the dozen or more restaurants, stay and enjoy the entertainment, or take the monorail into the city, returning to your hotel at your leisure.

Day 3

This morning you are in for a real treat as you make your way to the BridgeClimb, the ultimate experience of Sydney; reach the summit of the world famous Sydney Harbour Bridge, 134 metres above Sydney Harbour. It takes you along catwalks, up ladders, and steadily to the summit of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Experience the satisfaction of conquering the upper arch of the Bridge while taking in city surrounds, the World Heritage listed Sydney Opera House, the harbour and the Bridge itself beneath your feet.


After lunch at your own leisure, make your way to the Sydney Opera for a one hour privately guided tour. Discover a House of passion, drama and betrayal. More than 60 years ago, Jorn Utzon designed what is now considered one of the greatest buildings of all time. Using state-of-the-art audio-visual technology, your guide will take you on an emotional journey inside this modern masterpiece.  


At an additional cost there is also the option of a private surf lesson on famous Bondi Beach.

Day 4

At the end of your three spectacular days in Sydney you will board your scheduled flight to Adelaide and then connect through to Kingscote Airport on Kangaroo Island. You will be met on arrival at the airport and transferred to Southern Ocean Lodge.

Day 5

Enjoy from the selected activities which are included in your stay at Southern Ocean Lodge – or perhaps choose from the additional activity options that are on offer for an additional cost.

Day 7
Adelaide, Australia
Mayfair Hotel Breakfast, Lunch

Today experience a full day of private touring with Exceptional Kangaroo Island. Former wildlife ranger and islander Craig Wickham, Exceptional Kangaroo Island’s founder, has assembled a team of dedicated, sharp-eyed outdoor enthusiasts who combine the role of naturalists, historians, driver, guides and story tellers to ensure you gain a locals perspective of the island.


At the conclusion of the tour you will be privately transferred to Kingscote Airport where you will board your scheduled flight to Adelaide Airport. Upon arrival at Adelaide Airport you will be privately transferred to the Mayfair Hotel in Adelaide.


Style, elegance and a touch of glamour comes to Adelaide with the arrival of the city's newest five star boutique hotel. The magnificent Mayfair Hotel is located right in the heart of the city at the corner of King William and Hindley Street in the heritage-listed, beautifully renovated building.

Day 8

An early start today – you will be privately transferred from your accommodation to Adelaide Airport, where you will board the scheduled flight to Cairns Airport. Upon arrival you will be met by your driver and privately transferred to your accommodation.


Silky Oaks Lodge is one of Australia’s premier luxury lodges, offering a unique experience from which to explore Tropical North Queensland, situated within easy access from Cairns and a 15 minute drive from Port Douglas.


Spectacularly situated on the Mossman Gorge River, Silky Oaks Lodge is the region’s premier accommodation nestled on the edge of the World Heritage-listed Daintree National Park. This luxury boutique hotel lodge and Healing Waters Spa consists of elegant spacious lounges and living areas and the stunningly located open sided Tree House restaurant which overlooks the surrounding rainforest and river in tranquil surrounds.


You will have the remainder of the day to enjoy the lodge at your leisure, complimentary lodge activities may include: use of river canoes, bikes, gym, media room, tennis court, swimming pool, yoga classes, self-guided rainforest walks, river swimming.

Day 9

After breakfast you will be met at the accommodation by your private guide from Walkabout Cultural Adventures for a day spent with a local Aboriginal tour guide, learning about culturally significant areas and the relationships the Kuku Yalanji still have with their land. Learn the history, culture and traditions of the local Aboriginal people and the area.


Walk through the rainforest and coastal habitats learning about the environment, different foods and medicines utilized from nature, sample some bush tucker, collect shellfish and try traditional Aboriginal hunting practices, have a go at spear throwing and if you are lucky, catch a mud crab. To complete the adventure perhaps cool off in a pristine freshwater stream.

Day 10

After breakfast you will be picked up from the accommodation by a private guide to begin your unique rainforest tour – offering diversity in landscapes, wildlife and an extensive history of Australians in the early days. First you will enjoy a private cruise on the Daintree River System looking out for crocodiles, snakes and birds. You will travel through the oldest rainforest in the world, estimated at about 135 million years of age, with incredible tropical jungle on each side of the river.


Next it’s time to enter the Daintree section of the Wet Tropics World Heritage protected rainforest. This journey takes you up the beautiful Alexandra Range passing through rainforest, all the while learning from your guide the insight into the local aboriginal culture of the area. The Wet Tropics is one of the richest sites for biodiversity on earth and the Daintree is a place of spectacular beauty, rugged mountains, deep gorges and flowing rivers with numerous waterfalls.


Lunch is a special treat today, deep under the rainforest canopy, of tropical rainforest-inspired local produce. You will enjoy a wild life experience of feeding kangaroos in the wild and there will be a chance for a private rainforest walk, where you may possibly spot rainforest lizards, birds, butterflies and perhaps even marsupials!


After lunch the next stop is at a secluded beach, where your guide will highlight the amazing wildlife and ecosystems unique to this part of the world. Sometimes you can be the only people on this stretch of wilderness beach.


On the way back stop is at the outstanding panoramic picture postcard view at Alexandra Range Lookout. From here you'll have a spectacular view of the mouth of the Daintree River, Snapper Island and on a clear day Port Douglas

Day 11
Orpheus Island
Orpheus Island Breakfast, Dinner

This morning you have an early start to the day, your private driver will collect you at Silky Oaks Lodge and transfer you to Cairns Airport. Here you will board the scheduled Helicopter to Orpheus Island.


Located amidst the magical waters of the Great Barrier Reef, Orpheus is a secluded island hideaway accommodating just 28 indulged guests at any one time. Orpheus showcases a plethora of once in a lifetime experiences! Its principal dive sites boast 1,100 of the 1,500 species of fish on the reef; the local waters are a fisherman's playground and home to the most sought after reef fish species in the world; and guests can take the helm of a motorised dingy complete with gourmet picnic hamper and discover the many pristine coves and reefs that fringe Orpheus.


Alternatively, Orpheus provides the perfect backdrop for a more private interlude if guests wish to simply relax and succumb to a unique indigenous-inspired treatment at the Gwandalan Day Spa.

Day 12

Your stay at Orpheus Island includes all gourmet meals, celebrating a bounty of locally-sourced and freshly grown and caught seasonal delights, a selection of Australian wines and beers and a daily Orpheus experience (selected snorkelling, fishing and island cruise activities). For an additional charge guests can take part in the island’s signature dining with the Tides experience, an intimate dinner for two under a starlit canopy on the island’s jetty and other optional activities.

Day 14

Enjoy your last morning on Orpheus Island before boarding your scheduled Helicopter flight to Cairns. Connect with the scheduled flight from Cairns to Sydney. Upon arrival at Sydney Airport you will be privately transferred to the Four Seasons Hotel Sydney.


This afternoon you will have at your own lesiure to continue exploring Sydney.

Relax and enjoy your last morning in Sydney, before you are privately transferred from the Four Seasons Hotel to the Sydney Airport to board your onwards flight.

Experience the spectacular Daintree Rainforest, relaxing at Silky Oaks lodge and finally unwind and explore Orpheus Island located on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.


This itinerary can be taken all year round; however we recommend speaking with your Travel Designer as seasonal considerations may apply eg from December to March is the wet season in Tropical North Queensland, when you are likely to experience high humidity and rain, particularly in the months of February and March. Please note that Orpheus Island is closed from 30th January to 5th March 2017.

Blair Allsopp was a tremendous guide through Brisbane... went the extra mile in finding school husband's father spent 2 years in during WWIII Qualia resort on Hamilton Is was fab resort Only complaint-- had my departure wrong in their written agenda. Compared it to travel agent's booking and caught the discrepancy. Would have missed plane back to the states !
