Upon arrival at Sydney Airport you will be met and privately transferred to The Langham, Sydney. Situated within the heart of Sydney's historic Rocks district, The Langham, Sydney offers dramatic Harbour views. The hotel is within easy walking distance of the city's main shopping and business districts. Dining options includes Kent Street Kitchen, where European and Chic cuisine is accompanied by candlelight and Jazz & Palm Court, an elegant tearoom by day and gastronomic cocktail bar by night.

The Day Spa at The Langham features a lavish underground sanctuary. Here you can experience attentive therapists, holistic healing treatments and can relax, and renew.

Included during your stay is a Sydney half day private tour. This is the perfect way to get your bearings, spending time with an experienced passionate guide to introduce you to one of the most beautiful cities in the world. This half day tour is just long enough to give you an overall understanding of the history, layout and major icons of Sydney - and leave you wanting to discover more! You’ll be introduced to Sydney’s colourful colonial and aboriginal history, shown the historic Rocks area, the stunning Harbour quarter around Circular Quay, the Botanic Gardens and the Opera House, and taken to a favourite spot to get those iconic photos of Sydney. This is a great tour for those who have just landed in Sydney on the early morning long-haul flights - a chance to discover Sydney and get busy, while getting over the jetlag!

Day 2

This morning you are in for a real treat as you make your own way to the Sydney Opera for a one hour privately guided tour. Discover a House of passion, drama and betrayal. More than 60 years ago, Jorn Utzon designed what is now considered one of the greatest buildings of all time. Using state-of-the-art audiovisual technology, your guide will take you on an emotional journey inside this modern masterpiece.

After lunch at your own leisure, make your way to the BridgeClimb, the ultimate experience of Sydney; reach the summit of the world famous Sydney Harbour Bridge, 134 metres above Sydney Harbour. It takes you along catwalks, up ladders, and steadily to the summit of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Experience the satisfaction of conquering the upper arch of the Bridge while taking in city surrounds, the World Heritage listed Sydney Opera House, the harbour and the Bridge itself beneath your feet.

Day 3

The Louise Breakfast

This morning you will be met at The Langham Sydney and privately transferred to the Sydney Airport. Board the scheduled flight from Sydney Airport to Adelaide. On your arrival to Adelaide Airport you will pick up your hire car from the Hertz terminal, and will then make your way to The Louise Barossa Valley (this is approximately a 1.5 hour journey).

Food, wine, and luxurious accommodation are what awaits you at The Louise Barossa Valley. It is ideally situated in amongst the legendary Barossa wine country in South Australia. The Louise prides itself on offering absolute luxury, from generous ensuites to breathtaking vineyard views. The Appellation restaurant – highly regarded as one of Australia’s finest regional dining destinations – is co-located at The Louise, working together to create a memorable Barossa experience.

Day 4

After breakfast you will be met at The Louise by your guide for a bespoke Barossa Valley private tour. The Barossa Valley is one of Australia’s best known wine regions and home to some of the oldest Shiraz vines in the world. Your private wine guide will uncover the amazing food and wine that the Barossa has to offer. Enjoy regional wines which are robust, rich, and earthy.

During your day you will visit a range of premium wineries, and (if you so desire) food producers. You will enjoy either morning or afternoon tea and a leisurely lunch of regional food and wine at one of the region’s best restaurants.

On the conclusion of your tour, you will be returned to The Louise.

Day 5
Arkaba Station, Flinders Ranges, Australia

After breakfast you will depart The Louise and the Barossa Valley and make your way to Arkaba Station in the Flinders Ranges, South Australia (this is approximately a 4 hour journey).

Situated on the southern edge of Wilpena Pound and the Flinders Ranges National Park, Arkaba Station is your next stop, a remarkable 60,000 acre private conservancy in the Flinders Ranges that is home to an incredible variety of bird and wildlife. With just 5 rooms in the main homestead, it is a contrast of style and comfort against the rugged backdrop of the harsh Flinders Ranges country.

Each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom and opens out onto a shaded verandah with individual views of the surrounding ranges. With no telephones, televisions, or minibars the focus is solely on the experience and enjoying a simply magnificent property.

Day 6

For wildlife watching, bush-walking, photography or just soaking up the sights and sounds of outback Australia, the Flinders is in a class of its own. Daily guided wilderness experiences are included in your stay. Arkaba Station’s expert field guides pull together the incredible geological history, wildlife and pastoral heritage of this region with 4WD safaris, guided bush walks and a chance to take in the sights and sounds of the bush.

Day 8
Kangaroo Island, Australia
Southern Ocean Lodge Breakfast, Dinner

This morning you will depart from Arkaba Station and make the journey back to Adelaide in time to catch your scheduled flight over to Kangaroo Island. The drive back to Adelaide will take approximately 4.5 hours.

Once you arrive at Adelaide Airport, return the hire car and board your scheduled flight from Adelaide to Kingscote, Kangaroo Island. Upon arrival at the Kingscote Airport you will be transferred to Southern Ocean Lodge, Australia’s first true luxury lodge, offering a unique and exclusive travel experience on Kangaroo Island in South Australia.

Floating atop a secluded cliff on a rugged stretch of coast, the lodge commands peerless views of the wild Southern Ocean and pristine Kangaroo Island wilderness. A range of shared signature experiences are scheduled daily, allowing you to encounter rich and varied nature and wildlife, these may include:

• Wonders of KI – a half day guided journey into Flinders Chase National Park showcasing natural icons the Remarkable Rocks, Admirals Arch and a fur seal colony are some of the highlights

• Exclusive guided walk on the beach amongst Australia’s third largest colony of sea lions.

• Coastal Clifftop walk – a scenic guided walk atop the limestone cliffs of Hanson Bay.

• Kangas & Kanapés – a signature sunset drinks experience at nearby Grassdale, a historic island property - premium South Australian beverages, canapés and kangaroos!

If this is all too strenuous you can opt for indulgent pampering in the Southern Spa, located in a pavilion on the top of a hill with commanding views over the wild coastal landscape. Day 11
Adelaide, Australia

Today experience a full day of private touring with Exceptional Kangaroo Island. Former wildlife ranger and islander Craig Wickham, Exceptional Kangaroo Island’s founder, has assembled a team of dedicated, sharp-eyed outdoor enthusiasts who combine the role of naturalists, historians, driver, guides and story tellers to ensure you gain a locals perspective of the island.

On the conclusion of the tour you will be transferred to Kingscote Airport where you will board your scheduled flight to Adelaide. On arrival into Adelaide you will be privately transferred to the Mayfair Hotel for an overnight stay. Style, elegance and a touch of glamour comes to Adelaide with the arrival of the city's newest five star boutique hotel.

The magnificent Mayfair Hotel is located right in the heart of the city at the corner of King William and Hindley Street in the heritage-listed, beautifully renovated building.

Silky Oaks Lodge Breakfast

After breakfast you will be privately transferred to Adelaide Airport to board your scheduled flight to Cairns in Far North Queensland. On your arrival into Cairns Airport you will be privately transferred to Silky Oaks Lodge, located in the ancient Daintree Rainforest.

Silky Oaks Lodge is one of Australia’s premier luxury lodges, offering a unique experience from which to explore Tropical North Queensland, situated within easy access from Cairns and a 15 minute drive from Port Douglas.

Spectacularly situated on the Mossman Gorge River, Silky Oaks Lodge is the region’s premier accommodation nestled on the edge of the World Heritage-listed Daintree National Park. This luxury boutique hotel lodge and Healing Waters Spa consists of elegant spacious lounges and living areas and the stunningly located open sided Tree House restaurant which overlooks the surrounding rainforest and river in tranquil surrounds.

You will have the remainder of the day to enjoy the lodge at your leisure, complimentary lodge activities may include: use of river canoes, bikes, gym, media room, tennis court, swimming pool, yoga classes, self-guided rainforest walks, river swimming.

Day 13

Silky Oaks Lodge Breakfast, Lunch

After breakfast you will be picked up at Silky Oaks Lodge and transferred to Port Douglas for your day out on the Great Barrier Reef.

Snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef is one of the most incredible experiences a person can enjoy. With much of the reef’s colour and marine life visible within a couple of metres of the water’s surface, snorkelling offers all swimmers, regardless of their skill level, the opportunity to see this diverse eco-system up close.

Float effortlessly over rich, colourful coral gardens teeming with life from the cute and playful clownfish to the graceful beauty of the green turtle. Giant clams, stingrays, Maori wrasse, cods and colourful parrotfish, are just some of the hundreds of species you will encounter during your visit to Opal Reef with Calypso.

On the conclusion of your snorkelling trip, you will be transferred back to Silky Oaks Lodge.

This Itinerary can be taken all year round, however we suggest speaking with your Travel Designer as seasonal considerations may apply eg from December to March is the wet season in Tropical North Queensland, when you are likely to experience high humidity and rain, particularly in the months of February and March.

Blair Allsopp was a tremendous guide through Brisbane... went the extra mile in finding school husband's father spent 2 years in during WWIII Qualia resort on Hamilton Is was fab resort Only complaint-- had my departure wrong in their written agenda. Compared it to travel agent's booking and caught the discrepancy. Would have missed plane back to the states !
