Meet your English speaking driver/guide in the lobby of your hotel. (local guide is optional) The first stop on this tour is Aalsmeer, the center of flower culture, for a visit the flower auction. Proceed to The Hague, seat of the Dutch government and residence of King Willem Alexander and Queen Maxima. The Hague is approximately a 1 hour drive from Amsterdam. Start the tour at the North Sea beach and admire the view from the pier of Scheveningen. Visit is the Panorama Mesdag, with the world’s largest circular painting (360̕) featuring Scheveninge habrour in early 1900. Afterwards visit the Mauritshuis museum, home to the very best of Dutch Golden Age painting. The compact, yet world-renowned collection is situated in the heart of The Hague.
Proceed with a panoramic drive passing the Peace Palace, the Binnenhof including the Ridderzaal (Knight’s Hall) where our government is seated and residence of our King Willem Alexander’s Palace.
We will enjoy lunch under own arrangements in The Hague or in Delft.
After lunch we visit medieval Delft. This is the city where Vermeer lived and painted. Walk at leisure through the historic centre along the canals and many almshouses and visit The Royal Dutch Delftware Manufactory “De Porceleyne Fles”. The manufactory was established in 1653 and is the last remaining Delftware factory from the 17th century. The world famous Royal Delftware is still hand-painted according to centuries old tradition. During the tour you will get an insight in the process of making Delftware by the old techniques and you will see the talented artists paint the Royal Delftware.
