A driver will pick you up from your hotel to begin your tour. The first stop is the Uthayan Phra Norn (‘Park of the Sleeping Monk’), a giant reclining golden Buddha statue perched atop a mountain ridge. The statue is surrounded by several other gold statues of monks and abbots. Onward to Ob Luang National Park. Here, take a leisurely walk to see the magnificent Ob Luang Gorge. Revel in the strange beauty of the rock formations and prehistoric paintings. After lunch, head to Mae Sariang. Check in at the Riverhouse Resort and enjoy the rest of the day as you please.

Day 2

After breakfast, depart for Mae Hong Son, stopping along the way to visit the stunning Kaeo Komon Cave in Mae La Noi, the only calcite cave in Southeast Asia. Continue to the Lawa village of Ban Mae La Up. The Lawa are a group, found only in Thailand. True indigenous people to the region, they inhabited the land long before the Thais migrated from Southern China. Following lunch in the village, continue to Khun Yuam to visit the Thai-Japanese Memorial Hall. Next stop, Mae Hong Son. check in at the Fern Resort, a beautiful natural sanctuary, where you can enjoy dinner at the outdoor restaurant and take in a sunset.

Day 3

Following breakfast, take a short tour of Mae Hong Son, and enjoy a walk around Chong Kham Lake. The tour will include stops at Buddhist and Burmese-style temples like Wat Chong Klang and the neighboring monastery. Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure.

Check out following breakfast, and head out to visit the small local markets of Mae Hong Son. Next, hop on a boat for an entertaining ride down the Pai River to Baan Piang Din, a Long Neck settlement. After returning to Mae Hong Son, enjoy lunch at Fern Restaurant and transfer to the airport for your flight back to Chiang Mai.
