Day 1
Irkutsk, Russia
City Center Courtyard Marriott Dinner

Land in the stunning and remote city of Irkutsk, Siberia and spend the morning taking in its astounding architecture. After a traditional lunch, head to the city limits on your own dog sled as your trusty Siberian Huskies guide you through quiet trees and crisp ice. Later, dine in the historical 130th Quarter and then retire to your tranquil room at the Irkutsk City Center Marriott Courtyard.

Day 2
Listvyanka, Russia
Legend of Baikal Hotel Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After an early hotel breakfast, arrive at the local helicopter-landing site for a once-in-a-lifetime helicopter tour of your spectacular surroundings. Upon landing, drive to gorgeous Listvyanka and stop in at the Taltsy Wooden Museum for a warm lunch and a look into the engaging culture of the city. Spend the night in the traditional Legend of Baikal Hotel.

Day 3
Ulan Ude, Russia
None Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Explore Lake Baikal like never before: board a Hivus-10 Hovercraft and enjoy the remote winter world from an entirely new perspective. Upon reaching the Circum-Baikal Old Railway, continue your journey to the traditional Buryatian village of Ust-Orda, where you may spend a delightful afternoon with the local people. After dinner in Irkutsk, board the #2 Rossiya train and enjoy a quiet, overnight ride to beautiful Ulan-Ude.

Day 4
Gremyachinks , Russia
None Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After an early arrival in magnificent Ulan-Ude, visit the the mysterious temple of Ivolginsky Datsan, catching the performance of a traditional wedding ceremony and enjoying a delectable, homemade lunch. Later, head to Gremyachinks for dinner and an overnight stay in the unique Riviera eco-hotel.

Day 5
Ust-Barguzin , Russia
None Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Head to Zabaikalsky National Park in Ust-Barguzin in the UAZ car with which you have been provided. Upon your arrival, enjoy a traditional lunch, then journey to stunning Snake Bay to soak in the tranquil hot springs and try your hand at fishing with a local fisherman. Share your evening with the fisherman’s family, enjoying a delicious meal in their home, before retiring for the evening in the nearby Bargugin-Tukum hotel.

Day 6
Irkutsk, Russia
City Center Courtyard Marriott Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Rise early and return to beautiful Ulan-Ude, stopping for a brief lunch en route, to catch a quick flight back to Irkutsk. Spend your final evening in Irkutsk as you please, perhaps exploring local shops or engaging in a new culinary experience. Spend a final overnight stay in the Irkutsk City Center Courtyard Marriott.

Day 7
Irkutsk, Russia
None Breakfast

Rise early and pack your belongings. After a light breakfast, it is time to head to the airport and either leave for home or continue on to your next incredible adventure.

The Remote Lands Guides were excellent. The cars used for transportation were roomy and clean. The hotels were 5 star and their attention to detail was over the top. There was only perfection from the people we met and it was also comforting to know that our trip was being carefully monitored by Remote Lands supervisors every step of the way. We had 4 different guides (one in each city) and they were all wonderful. We appreciated that they let us be flexible and make game time decisions. We skipped a lot of the "touristy" sites and felt we had a more authentic experience.

Excellent. Guides at each location were friendly, personable and knowledgeable. Want to share a special thank you to Nadia Thakul (Bangkok) & Mr. Buntheun (Siem Reap). After missing my connecting flight from Shanghai to Siem Reap, I called Mr. Buntheun to let him know I was not able tomake it to Siem Reap as planned and for him to notify the hotel. I was flying instead to Phnom Phen and would notify him later of my flight to Siem Reap. Upon arrival in Phnom Phen as I was filling out my visa on arrival form, a Remote Land guide greeted me and told me that Mr. Buntheun had notified the Bangkok office of my predicament and sent him to greet me. As you can imagine being in a foreign land in an unplanned location he was a sight for sore eyes. He got me in contact with Nadia who then took care of the rest of the accommodations (hotel, transportation to/from airport and flight from Phnom Phen to Siem Reap the next day). Assistance provided by Remote Lands got us to Siem Reap on time.
