Day 1
Putao, Myanmar
Malikha Lodge Dinner

Begin exploring the nature of Putao with an elephant trek through the Nam Lang River, into the beautiful rice fields that leads to Yegyawdi village. The elephant will take you back to Malikha Lodge just in time for delicious dinner and drinks, which will be hosted in front of the open fireplace.

Day 2
Putao, Myanmar
Malikha Lodge Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Embark on a full-day hike to grasp what the daily lives of Lisu, Rewang and Shan villagers are like. Each journey through these villages is unique; you may meet an entertaining hunter who invites you to try his crossbow or be invited to sip a hot cup of tea at a local Christian church. Apart from exploring the villages, you will be having picnic lunch and a cold beer accompanied by nature, culture and traditions.

Day 3

Malikha Lodge Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Enjoy a gentle rafting from Mulashidi suspension bridge down the Nam Lang to join Malikha River to the picnic spot where lunch is prepared and served by the spectacular view of the riverside. The afternoon is followed by a cruise on the Malikha river where you can observe the forested hills, white river beaches and sights of villagers panning for gold to Manchanbaw village where you will get to take a short stroll before embarking to the lodge just in time for sunset.

Day 4

Malikha Lodge Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Early birds can come out and taste the traditional steaming bowls of Shan noodles, shop for woven hats and baskets in Rewang Village before embarking to Mulashidi village, a perfect place to learn about the culture and traditions in Putao. Here, you will get an opportunity to explore some of the cottage industries and also visit the Wildlife Conservation Society Museum. Afternoon spend on a bike adventure on a local route, returning Malikha Lodge for a hot bath and a relaxing massage before dinner.

Day 5
Putao, Myanmar
None Breakfast

Enjoy a leisurely final breakfast at your hotel, before being transferred to Putao Airport, where you can begin your onward journey to your next destination.

The Remote Lands Guides were excellent. The cars used for transportation were roomy and clean. The hotels were 5 star and their attention to detail was over the top.
