In Search of the Royal Bengal Tiger: India's National Parks by Private Jet (11 days)

Day 1
New Delhi, India
The Oberoi, New Delhi Dinner

Arrive in India’s vibrant capital, New Delhi. You’ll be transferred to your luxury hotel - we recommend either the Imperial New Delhi or the Oberoi Gurgaon. After check-in, step out into New Delhi’s bustling streets for a full-day tour of the city. The tour will take you from Red Fort, which dates back to the 17th century, to Old Delhi’s principal mosque, Jama Masjid. Next, head to Chandni Chowk for some shopping - this is one of New Delhi’s longest-standing markets. This evening, rest your tired feet back in your luxury suite at your hotel.

Day 2
New Delhi, India
The Oberoi, New Delhi Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Having absorbed much of New Delhi’s history yesterday, start your day off today with a peak into its present, by checking out its contemporary art galleries, followed by its modern, high-end shops. Step back into the past in the afternoon at Humayun’s Tomb, which holds the body of Mughal Emperor Humayun. Thereafter, head to Qutb Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the tallest minar in India.

Day 3
Ranthambhore, India
Aman-i-Khas Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Take off in your private jet this morning for Ranthambhore, home of the endangered royal Bengal tiger. Check in to your luxury hotel, at either the Aman-i-Khas or Oberoi Vanyavilas. Relax and rest up for the coming days in your opulent suite.

Day 4
Ranthambhore, India
Aman-i-Khas Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Start your day with a game drive through Ranthambhore’s national park. You’ll be accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, who will point out not only the animals grazing in the forest, but also the area’s unique flora and fauna. The afternoon will allow time for more exploring of the lush jungle - try out some birdwatching if you like. Finally, finish off your action-packed day by exploring Ranthambhore’s Old City in the back of an open-top jeep.

Day 5
Kanha, India
Taj Banjaar Tola Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Fly in to Kanha National Park today, and check in to your luxurious tented suite at the Taj Banjaar Tola. Kanha National Park is yet another home of the famous Bengal tiger, as well as leopards, sloth bears, Barasingha, and Indian wild dogs. Explore the jungle on two outings today: a morning bird safari, and an afternoon game drive, and see what exciting jungle life you can spot.

Day 6
Kanha, India
Taj Banjaar Tola Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Kanha is probably best-known for being the setting for Rudyard Kipling’s Jungle Book. Channel your inner Mowgli today as you head back out into the untamed jungle on a morning game drive. Take a break at noon for lunch and perhaps a dip in the pool, before embarking on another riveting game drive before sunset. Relax at your hotel this evening.

Day 7
Kanha, India
Taj Banjaar Tola Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

After a delicious, filling breakfast in your tented suite, you’ll start your day off with a morning elephant safari. On the safari, you’ll have the chance to mount one of the majestic beasts, and also observe them bathing in a water pond. In the afternoon, you’ll take one final game drive. Finish off your day with a tantalizing meal back at the hotel.

Day 8
Bandhavgarh, India
Samode Safari Lodge Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Today, your luxury private jet will land in Bandhavgarh, one of India’s most popular national parks. Check in to the exquisite Taj Mahua Kothi, and rest up for the coming days ahead. Bandhavgarh holds some of India’s most dense tiger populations, so if you haven’t caught sight of one yet, you are likely to be lucky here.

Day 9
Bandhavgarh, India
Samode Safari Lodge Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Explore Bandhavgarh National Park today with game drives, and elephant treks. In addition to tigers, there are barking deer, sambar, nilgai, Indian wolves, hyenas, and Indian bison, along with hundreds of bird and butterfly species - the biodiversity is incredible.

Day 10
Bandhavgarh, India
Samode Safari Lodge Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Check out some of Bandhavgarh’s non-wildlife sites today: Bandhavgarh Fort, dating back nearly two millennia, Baghel Museum, which holds the one-time possessions of King of Rewa, and Climber’s Point, which provides an incredible view of the park. If you’re up for it, head out on one final game drive this evening, ahead of tomorrow’s departure.

Day 11
Bandhavgarh, India
None Breakfast

Board your private jet once again for the final leg of your journey - your return to New Delhi, in time for your onward journey. You will be assisted with your luggage as your check in for your next onward flight - either home, or to your next exciting destination.

Your inner explorer will thank you for this exciting 11-day journey through India’s richly biodiverse backyard.

The Remote Lands Guides were excellent. The cars used for transportation were roomy and clean. The hotels were 5 star and their attention to detail was over the top. There was only perfection from the people we met and it was also comforting to know that our trip was being carefully monitored by Remote Lands supervisors every step of the way. We would recommend Remote Lands to anyone needing exceptional service in Asia.
