Day 1

Evening international flight arrival at Bogota airport where your personal Blue Parallel host will greet you and transfer you in private to your luxury hotel to rest for the evening. Bogotá is a city of contrasts, and as such it offers a unique experience to its visitors. Prepare to find a hectic balance between the new and the old; the peaceful and the frantic. Encounter century-old plazas and churches shadowed by towering skyscrapers.

Day 2
Bogotá, Colombia

Explore the cosmopolitan metropolis of Colombia’s capital with your local host. Enjoy a private guided tour of the main sightseeing highlights of La Candelaria. Full of public buildings and historical plazas including a plaza that hosts one of the city’s oldest fruit markets, explore the neighborhood with your local host. During the visit, try local street food such as chicha (fermented beverage derived from maize) and obleas (wafer cookie with jam or dulce de leche). Later, stop at a hidden cafe for a typical Colombian hot chocolate served with almojabana (local bread) and cuajada cheese.

After lunch, visit the Gold Museum, with a vast pre-Hispanic collection, the Botero Museum - home to Columbia’s famous abstract artist, the Colón Theater, Casa del Marqués and the Quinta de Bolivar, former home to Simon Bolívar, South America’s liberation hero. Also, should it be of interest, Blue Parallel can arrange visits to shops and galleries of local artists and private studios of famed Colombian jewelry designers where you can learn about Colombian emeralds. In the evening, dine on gourmet cuisine at Bogota's best restaurants.

Day 3
Armenia, Colombia
Private Estate Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Take the morning flight to Morning non-stop flight to Armenia located in the Coffee Region of Colombia. Also known as the Coffee Triangle, the area is a part of the rural Colombian Paisa region. It is famous for growing and production of a majority of the Colombian coffee, considered by some as the best coffee in the world. Upon arrival, take a private transfer to an exclusive farm where you can experience a 2 hour private horseback riding excursion with your expert guide, passing through a variation of plant and fruit crops from pineapple, sugar cane and other citrus fruits to the beautiful heliconias and an extensive bamboo forests. Arrive at a small river, where a picnic will be prearranged for your party for lunch as you take in your beautiful lush surroundings. In the afternoon, visit a local coffee plantation on an open top Jeep Wrangler. Learn how coffee is produced from planting to roasting. You will then be taken to your private, exclusive estate. In the evening and in the comfort of your private estate, enjoy a traditional Colombian BBQ exclusively prepared for your party.

Day 4
Armenia, Colombia
Private Estate Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Depart for the Valle de Cocora located in Los Nevados National Natural Park near Salento. Upon arrival, venture out on your spectacular 4 hour trek through the valley. Begin upwards, hiking toward the high Andean cloud and pine forest passing numerous bird varieties such as hummingbirds and woodpeckers. Once you arrive at the highest point, stop for lunch as you enjoy the views over the rolling hills and famous wax palms (Colombia’s national tree). Descend to the low valley river crossing hanging bridges and dense shrubs as you witness the vegetation change dramatically from forest to jungle. In the afternoon before returning to your private estate, stop at the village of Salento for a private coffee tasting. Much like a typical wine tasting, enjoy a full sensory experience and discover a variety of tastes from bitter and sour to sweet, salty, and savory. Later in the evening, spend time relaxing by the pool or around the gardens of your estate.

Day 5
Cartagena, Colombia

Morning flight to Cartagena via Bogota. A fairy-tale city of romance, legends and sheer beauty, Cartagena is a gem of colonial architecture, packed with churches, monasteries, plazas, palaces and mansions with their overhanging balconies and shady patios; a destination not to be missed. With your expert guide, spend the afternoon on a sightseeing tour of this enchanting city, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with romantic cobbled stoned streets and beautiful colonial architecture. Visit the 19th century Puerta del Reloj which guards the main entryway to the Old Towns walled enclosure, the Plaza de los Coches lined with colorfully-hued houses and arcaded walkways, and Plaza de Bolivar surrounded by some of the city’s most beautiful colonial buildings including the Palace of the Inquisition, and the Cathedral.

Day 6

Enjoy a full day of private boating to the archipelago of the Islas de Rosario where Blue Parallel has handpicked the best islands centered on beautiful white sand beaches, crystal clear Caribbean water and ultimate privacy. Visit secluded, uncharted and deserted islets known only to local fisherman and spend the day relaxing on board or swimming in the pristine Caribbean water. On the way to the islands, you will pass through Bocachica, a defensive fortification built by the Spanish to safeguard this important port.

Day 7
Cartagena, Colombia

Enjoy your morning at leisure as your independently explore this historically packed city. Should it be of interest, Blue Parallel can arrange a private art and gallery tour where you can meet local artists in their personal studios, or explore the city's best boutiques with your personal shopper.

In the late afternoon, participate in a salsa class, tropical fruit or rum tasting just for your party in a privately owned 16th century home. Additionally, a private Caribbean Creole cooking class in the kitchen of an exclusive colonial house in the Old City can also be arranged. In the evenings, dine at Cartagena’s best restaurants which offer a variety of seafood and Caribbean specialties followed by a mojito and dance at one of the vibrant salsa clubs in town.

Day 8

Following breakfast, you will be taken by private transfer to the international airport for your flight home.
