9.00 am: Be met in the lobby of your hotel in Nice.
Take time to discover the flourishing and traditional town of Antibes, with its charming historic downtown and its harbor with luxurious yachts and pleasure boats. The Chateau, bastion and towers have today been transformed into a magnificent Modern Art Museum, History and Archeology Museum and museum of traditional crafts and local culture. Most of the treasures can be found in the historic town center.
Then, continue on to Mougins and stroll through the charming streets of this hilltop village where Picasso once lived. There will be free time to enjoy the many art galleries and quaint shops and cafés. Have lunch at leisure.
In the afternoon, located east of Antibes, discover the village of Biot which is perched up quite high (and its existence goes back to 154 B.C!). The area overlooks hills, and is “covered” with mimosas and olive trees. The narrow streets of the town testify to the fact that there was indeed a rich history long ago : Biot has been a stronghold to the Knights Templar and the Knights of Malte. Visiting Biot is to take a real tour through Provençal history. Today it's streets and alleys bear funny names : la Calade, Le Portugon, Le Cul de Sac, La calade des Migraniers, Lei Croûtons, place de l'Airette, rue Rondon, rue des orfevres, place de la Catastrophe (where two houses collapsed in 1898), and place des Arcades which is outlined on two sides by Romanesque and Gothic arcades. However the town is most famous for la Verrerie de Biot, a place that is composed of a glassworks museum, restaurants and decoration boutiques.
5.00 pm: Return to your hotel.
