Photo stop around the Trocadero, from where you can admire the spectacular Eiffel Tower. At the time of its construction in 1889, the tower was the tallest structure in the world, a title it retained until 1930, when New York City's Chrysler Building was completed. The tower is the second-highest structure in France and the highest structure in Paris. Continue on to the charming Montmartre for a Photo stop. Montmartre is a hill in the north of Paris, primarily known for the white-domed Basilica of the Sacré Cœur on its summit. Finish the morning at Notre Dame de Paris, often known simply as Notre Dame in English, a Gothic cathedral on the eastern half of the Île de la Cité. Notre Dame is widely considered to be one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture.
Then, enjoy a guided visit of the Orangerie Museum. Completely restored, the Musée de l'Orangerie is located in the former orangery of the Jardin des Tuileries, a stone's throw away from the Musée du Jeu de Paume. The collection includes paintings by André Derain. Renoir, Cezanne, Picasso and Matisse, among others. Your guide will lecture on all this artistic treasures! Most of all, do not leave the Orangerie until you have visited to the two oval rooms, where the Monet’s Nympheas (Waterlily) series are displayed. These paintings were offered to France by Monet in 1922 and installed in the museum following his death in 1927.
