Enjoy this deluxe version of the popular White Pass Summit Railroad and highway combination tour with a local, professional guide knowledgeable in Skagway’s unique gold rush history, wildlife, and natural history.
Begin your exploration by boarding the White Pass and Yukon Route Railroad for an unforgettable journey. Travel this historic narrow gauge railroad to the summit of the White Pass, and enjoy the spectacular scenery and history that makes this trip a classic. Your guide will drive your personal vehicle to the White Pass summit and wait for your arrival.
Upon reaching the summit, disembark the train and reconnect with your guide to board your private vehicle for a visit to the Yukon Suspension Bridge. Venture out onto the bridge to take in the turbulent waters of the Tutshi River below. Walk along the boardwalk to enjoy the miniature world of alpine wildflowers. After your walk, you will begin your descent back to Skagway. Unlike the train, your private vehicle has the flexibility to stop when and where you want. There are many highlights along the way including rushing waterfalls, pristine lakes, and views of the glaciated peaks and forested valleys. Once back in Skagway, enjoy lunch at Poppies Restaurant located at Jewell Gardens. Many of the organic lunch ingredients are harvested straight from the gardens. There will be time to explore the grounds after lunch.
Top the tour off with a fully narrated tour of downtown Skagway. Return to your ship filled with memories and photographs from an unforgettable adventure.
Includes: All transportation, guide/escort to the train depot, guide to accompany your group on the train, private vehicle and driver with guide for sightseeing and lunch.
Note: This tour includes lunch and beverages at either the Yukon Suspension Bridge or another venue in Skagway depending on timing and availability. Train cars are shared, return transfer with sightseeing is private. Passports are required for this tour.
