Upon your arrival at the Vancouver Airport, pick up your SUV rental vehicle and find your way to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, explore Vancouver before dinner on your own. Famous attractions include Stanley Park, the Vancouver Aquarium, Granville Island and the shops of Robson Street. Accommodations are at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre in a Family Suite.

Today is a driving day along one of the most spectacular routes in Canada, as you make your way from Vancouver to Echo Valley and your hotel in the wilderness—approximately 5.5 hours total. Accommodations are at Echo Valley Ranch in a Ranch Suite.

Over the next few days, enjoy a guided 2-hour horseback ride across varied terrain, including open country and beneath forested canopies (one per stay), a 3-hour Fraser Canyon safari, where you will have the opportunity to photograph some of the most breathtaking landscapes (one per stay), unlimited fly-fishing at the ranch’s well-stocked trout ponds, hiking, biking, daily guided Thai yoga (Ruesri dat ton) stretching classes, and guided nature trail walks (one per stay). Other options include gold panning along the old Gold Rush Trail—one of the most spectacular sights showcasing BC’s history, white water rafting on the Thompson River, and world-class golf. Today is another beautiful day on the road, as you leave Echo Valley for your next resort, approximately 4.5 hours away in the heart of Whistler’s Upper Village. Accommodations are at Nita Lake Lodge in a Two Bedroom Lakeview Suite.

Day 7

Choose among dozens of activities during your day in the mountains. Paddle on the River of Golden Dreams or on Lost Lake. Take the gondola to the top of Whistler or Blackcomb Mountain for exceptional views (and a great meal!). Witness breathtaking glaciers on a helicopter or floatplane tour, or join a Hummer excursion into the backcountry in search of wildlife. Other favourites include ziplining, Olympic venue tours, river rafting, and bear viewing. This is also some of the most pristine black bear habitat in North America. Accommodations are at Nita Lake Lodge in a Two Bedroom Lakeview Suite.

Leave Whistler Resort today for the return drive to Vancouver. This is a relatively short transfer (2.5 hours), but an incredibly beautiful one along the famous Sea to Sky Highway. Safe travels!

Please note that we can easily customize this trip to include a private charter from Vancouver or anywhere on the BC coast directly to the ranch; it’s only a 90-minute flight.

Trip to Canada

Our experience with Entree Canada was excellent. All of the drivers and cars were very good and the recommended guides were knowledgeable and helpful. They scheduled us on Via Rail Canada from Montreal to Quebec City and the attendants were extremely nice and helpful as were the lady porters. One of our traveling companions lost a hearing aid while on the train and didn't discover it until we reached the hotel, Auberge St. Antoine, who called immediately. The train had departed. Miraculously, the next day Via Rail brought the hearing aid to the hotel. That is really good service. Use Entree Canada if you travel to Canada.
