Day 1

After disembarking from your cruise ship, you will be driven by private transfer to Anchorage along the spectacular Seward Highway. Before enjoying lunch on your own in Anchorage, you'll stop to visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, meeting some of Alaska's friendliest (and furriest!) locals. In the afternoon you'll spend some time at the Alaska Native Heritage Center, learning about Alaska's Indigenous people through exhibits and live demonstrations. Accommodations are at the Hotel Captain Cook in a Junior Suite.

Day 2

Winterlake Lodge, AK United States

This morning a private SUV will deliver you from your hotel to Lake Hood for your scheduled flight to Winterlake Lodge. Explore the lodge and surrounding Finger Lakes at your leisure. Accommodations are at Winterlake Lodge, in a Cabin.

Day 3
Winterlake Lodge , AK United States

Your third day takes you sky-high in a helicopter to reach Alaskan back-country, where you can raft, fish, hike a ridge-top or trek across a glacier. Accommodations are at Winterlake Lodge, in a Cabin.

Day 4
Winterlake Lodge, AK United States

Your fourth day at Winterlake Lodge is rife with options, and to be spent pursuing your individual interests. Accompany the owner for a walk along the famous Iditarod Trail, or hike up to the ridge behind the Lodge to view the expansive valley and Denali beyond. Spot wildflowers and loons during a canoe ride on the lake, or search for black bears and moose on Wolverine Ridge. Other options include kayaking, birding, yoga, and cooking classes. Wine tastings in the early evening explore wine and food pairings.

Day 5
Redoubt Bay Lodge, AK United States

Hotel: Redoubt Bay Lodge
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Board a floatplane for a flight that will take you through the scenic Tordrillo Mountains and Triumvirate Glacier en route to Redoubt Bay Bear Lodge, located on the Kenai Peninsula. Thanks to the rich salmon population in nearby Big River Lakes, the bears flock to Redoubt for a hearty meal, so keep your eyes peeled for these majestic creatures. Enjoy a day and a night at Redoubt Bay Lodge, where the activity options abound. You may wish to take in the incredible scenery on a hike, a kayak of Big River Lakes or turn your eyes upward to spot the millions of birds that migrate and nest in the region. Accommodations are at Redoubt Bay Lodge in a Cabin.
