A powerful fortress rises proudly above the crystal blue waters, as a reminder of the island’s long and intriguing history. Explore the past of this fort to discover that it was one of the most powerful fortresses of Crete, built in 1579 by the Venetians.
Apart from historical interest, Spinalonga promises unforgettable natural beauty scenes of sun-kissed beaches, crystalline blue waters and pine-clad landscapes, which make the visit even more memorable.
